Summer nails just hit differently 🔆

I do not recommend going more than 4 weeks between appointments, however for this lady she was unable to come back any sooner.

This is 9 weeks between appointments! 😱

The retention is absolutely unreal😍

You leave your appointment happy.
Everything looks perfect.

And then… a few days later, something starts to change.

A small lift.
A tiny edge.
Something doesn’t feel right.

And the first thought is,
“Was it the product?”
“Was it the application?”

Not always.

Because here’s what most people don’t realise,

👉 What happens after your appointment matters just as much as what happens during it.

Your natural nails expand and contract with water exposure.
Without daily cuticle oil, the nail plate becomes dry, less flexible, and more prone to lifting.

👉 And sometimes, it’s not even lifting.

At the free edge, the natural nail can become dry and dehydrated, causing it to flake in layers.

The gel is still attached to the top layer,
but as that layer separates underneath,
it creates the illusion that the gel is lifting.

👉 Your body plays a role too.

Hormonal changes
Medications
Thyroid conditions
Excess moisture

All of these can affect how well product adheres and how long it lasts.

So two people can have the exact same treatment,
and completely different results.

👉 This is why aftercare isn’t optional.

Cuticle oil keeps the nail flexible
Hydration supports adhesion
Correct maintenance protects the structure

This isn’t about being strict.
It’s about helping your nails last the way they’re meant to.

Because the best results come from three things working together,

Professional application
Correct aftercare
And what your natural nails are going through at the time

When you understand that, everything changes.

If you’re ever unsure why your nails didn’t last, you’re always welcome to ask. I’ll guide you honestly, so we can get the best possible results for your nails 💜
