This patient presented with a significantly indented and mature scar to her forehead caused by a sebaceous cyst many years ago. She had been self conscious of this for a long time and felt in photos and unforgiving lighting, the depth of the scar drew attention.

The before picture is pre any treatment to the scar. The second picture is the healed progress result of only 3 medical grade microneedling skin pen sessions with a view to continue the treatment plan.

Skin Pen is a medical grade microneedling device that has fine, sterile needles that create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny punctures help to break down the scar tissue and trigger the body’s natural wound healing process. The skin starts producing new collagen and elastin - two key proteins that support skin structure. With repeated treatments, the skin remodels , filling out atrophic or depressed scars, smooths skin texture, and reduces discolouration. This process is demonstrated beautifully here
