A common mistake with shoulder pain is assuming the problem is where you feel it.

More often than not, the real issue isn’t just the outside of the shoulder. Tightness and dysfunction around the muscles between the shoulder blades (scapulae) can affect how the shoulder moves and feels, leading to pain, weakness, or restricted movement.

The shoulder relies on the scapula for stability. If the muscles controlling it aren’t working efficiently, the shoulder often pays the price.

Sometimes the answer isn’t where it hurts, it’s where the problem starts.
