How much weight will I lose on the diet jabs?
A simple answer would be - how much weight do you want to lose?
This is an impossible question to answer… everyone’s body works differently. Our metabolisms run differently, we eat differently, we weigh differently, we drink differently, our age , s*x , weight, height is a factor. There’s So many variations.
Weight loss depends on the food you consume (calories in) to the body just burning calories to keep us alive (calories out). The average person can burn around 1200-2000 calories just being alive.
Being in a calorie deficit helped with exercise and drinking plenty of water will always be the best way to lose weight steadily.
These jabs will help you to eat less food if your portions are large.
It will help you to eat less food bringing down your portions, in turn helping you to consume less calories. That’s all the jabs will do. So you will lose weight by eating less calories than you normally eat.
If you diet along with exercise you will lose more. Calorie counting will help you make better choices
So to answer the question … you will lose all the weight you realistically set your goal as. The jabs themselves don’t make you lose anything.

I’m not losing any more weight on the diet jabs, why?
There are many factors to why you stop losing weight. These can be a change in your metabolic rate,
Not eating in a calorie deficit, muscle gain, lack of sleep or high stress, hormonal or medical issues, or simply the dose you are on is not high enough to lower your hunger.
Metabolic rate:
As you lose weight, your body needs fewer calories to function, and your metabolism naturally slows down to conserve energy. The calorie intake that caused weight loss previously may now only maintain your current weight.
Nit eating in a calorie deficit:
It is easy to gradually start eating slightly larger portions, having extra snacks, or consuming hidden calories in drinks and sauces without realizing it. Even small, unintentional increases can erase your calorie deficit. Using a food app or food diary can help ensure accurate tracking.
Muscle gain:
If you’ve incorporated strength training, you may be building muscle mass while losing fat. Muscle is denser than fat, so the number on the scale may not change, even if your body shape is improving and your clothes fit better.
Lack of Sleep and High Stress:
Poor sleep quality and chronic stress increase the hormone cortisol, which can boost appetite, promote fat storage (especially around the abdomen), and lead to cravings for high-calorie foods.
Hormonal or Medical issues :
Underlying health issues like an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) or Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) can affect metabolism and make weight loss harder. Certain medications may also impact your weight.

When you exercise you lose water , by replacing water it will help you train for longer periods at a higher intensity, helping you burn more calories

Is it better to lose weight quickly on weight-loss jabs or slower?
losing weight too quickly can be worse for your health than losing slowly. Here’s why:
There are some Health Risks of Rapid Weight Loss. It can lead to complications like Loss of muscle mass, nutrient deficiency, slower metabolism, Dehydration and weight regain
Loss of muscle mass:
When weight drops rapidly, the body breaks down both fat and muscle for energy. Losing muscle mass slows down your metabolism, making it harder to burn calories and easier to regain weight later. Exercising , especially resistance training will help minimise muscle loss which will help to burn calories.
Nutrient deficiencies:
Very restrictive, rapid weight loss often doesn’t provide sufficient vitamins, minerals, and protein, which can cause health issues like fatigue, hair loss, and anemia. You must eat a well balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Starving yourself so you lose weight quickly will be very detrimental to your body
Slower metabolism:
The body may go into survival mode when it loses weight too quickly, significantly slowing the resting metabolic rate. This means it burns fewer calories and lead to difficulty losing any weight. This is what can happen when people say I’m hardly eating but not losing weight. Simply you’re not eating or drinking enough.
Dehydration:
Quick weight loss can lead to water loss and an imbalance of essential minerals (electrolytes), which can affect heart function and cause dizziness, headaches, and muscle cramps. It’s so important to drink at least 2-3 litres of water a day
Weight regain:
Studies show that individuals who lose weight rapidly are much more likely to regain the weight over time compared to those who lose it slowly and steadily, often due to hormonal changes that increase hunger.
Also something you should note, Rapid, highly restrictive dieting can lead to stress, anxiety, irritability, and an unhealthy obsession with food, potentially increasing the risk of binge eating or other eating disorders. Slow and steady is the safest way. 1-2lb or 0.5-1kg a week is a good weight loss rate.

What are the side effects of diet jabs?
This is One question I get asked a lot. All the jabs, semaglutide, trizepatide and Retatrutide all have the same side effects.
However trizepatide (mounjaro) the side effects are not as prominent as they are in semaglutide. The same applies to Retatrutide. It’s less prominent than trizepatide. Saying that, everyone is different. It’s impossible to say what you may experience.
So, the most Common side effects of diet jabs are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, hair loss, feeling cold , sulphur burps, dry mouth, headaches, a reaction at the injection site, such as redness, bruising, or itching.
Saying that all these side effects can be treated.
Nausea & vomiting- travel sickness tablets
Diarrhoea- Imodium - drink water
Constipation- Senokot. Drink water
Hair loss - hair will Regrow once rapid Weigh loss has finished and the body adjusts. Biotin supplements will help
Sulphur burps - peptol bismol
Dry mouth- drink water
Headache - paracetamol - drink water
It’s crucial to drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated . Water helps by replacing lost fluids, softening stool, and supporting your metabolism and fat breakdown processes.

What’s the difference between semaglutide trizepatide and Retatrutide ?
Lets answer this is layman’s terms so you can understand it….
Semaglutide has 2 names. Ozempic and Wegovy.
Ozempic was created and approved for people with type 2 diabetes.
Wegovy was developed as a higher dose for just weight loss.
Semaglutide has 1 diet receptor GPL-1
This reduces your appetite, slows digestion and regulates your blood sugar.
Trizepatide also known as mounjaro was created as an improved weight loss that can be taken by both diabetics and for weight loss
It is a duo agonist which means there’s 2 diet receptors GPL-1 and GIP
Because of the dual receptors it makes it highly effective for weight loss. Suppressing your appetite, slows digestion and regulates blood sugar. Same as semaglutide but better .
Retatrutide is a triple receptor
GLP-1, GIP and GCG receptors.
It works the same as the others , but Retatrutide has stronger effect because of the triple receptors .
