If you are receiving your B12 jabs for free on the NHS you will most likely receive a shot every few days for the first few weeks before moving onto one every 2-3 months. This is because it takes a few doses to build up an effective level in your blood.
Most people that get them free say they are almost on their knees at month 3, and this is why they often supplement their NHS shots with a private sourced one.

There are no hard and fast rules regarding how you have your shots, but if you are receiving the jabs privately I would recommend 1 a week for a few weeks before moving to one every 1-2 months. Almost everyone I’ve met says the second dose is much more effective than the first, but the frequency is up for discussion.

But many, many more just want to feel the benefits of B12 regardless of their blood levels, or choose to supplement their NHS jabs with private ones as the regime offered by the NHS isn’t good enough for their needs.

B12 solution comes in a glass vial. It is very poor practice to draw up from a glass vial using a blue needle. Yet another reason to get your treatment from a provider who has had appropriate training and knowledge.
This is VERY dangerous to the patient and risks introducing glass shards into the body. And it’s happening in Colchester!
