Hello! I thought I should introduce myself, thanks for finding my account and following!!

My names Lucia, and I’m the creator of Lula Yoga.
I’ve been practising yoga for almost 20 years and I still absolutely love it!

It’s one of my passions in life alongside my other work of performing and animals and fitness in general! Not animals performing aerobics just to be clear- I’m very much against that 😂

I got into yoga by randomly going to a Bikram (hot yoga) class aaages ago in Old Street in London where I lived for a number of years. I remember leaving the class and feeling absolutely EUPHORIC!! It was such an amazing feeling and ever since then I’ve been hooked!!

I decided to do my teaching qualification (200 RYT) with Yoga London in 2017 because I’d had a bad experience at a yoga class (the teacher had spoken down to me and made me feel really small, really crap and useless at yoga and I actually cried after the class).

So after I calmed down, I thought - stuff this- I could teach classes and not hopefully at the very least, not make people cry!

I’m sure that teacher had their own stuff going on and I hope they are ok now!! BUT, actually I’m now very grateful for that not- so-pleasant experience as it brought me to where I am today, teaching with a deeper love of the practise of yoga and an open mindedness to what you can learn from it! And the fact is you can’t be good or bad at yoga you can only show up & crack on

Despite the fact that Im usually very outgoing, I feel quite vulnerable writing this - as how do you condense yourself into an insta post?? well basically you can’t. So all I’ll say is,
I love dogs, cats ALL animals
I can’t cope without tea in the morning
I’m an ex ballroom and Latin American dancer
I’ve lived in 5 different countries and counting
I want to make people love yoga and make a difference in a positive way - I’m open to ideas-feedback, and constructive praise/critique- it’s all a learning curve!!!

You never quite capture the beauty of nature on a phone - but damnit you can try! 😂🤍 I call this one- moon on the way to the gym!
