Let’s do our first introduction…

​I’m Sharna, the face and proud owner behind 1717 Hair Salon. I opened these doors back in 2023 at 28 years old, and honestly? Looking at how fast and beautifully we’ve grown since then leaves me incredibly proud and so grateful every single day.

​Usually, I’m completely focused on making sure everyone who walks through our doors feels incredible. But today, I wanted to step out from behind the scenes and say hello to everyone new here! 👋🏼

​Anyone who knows me knows that I simply don’t stop!!! 🤣EVER ... I absolutely thrive on the busy, fast-paced hustle life. When I’m not at the salon, my drive takes me into a completely different world!

Managing my properties as a landlord or diving into my absolute fav, property renovations. Yes, I’m a builder at heart, I even built the salon myself with the help from 𝕷𝖔𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖟𝖔’𝖘 - accompanied by my pink tool box.

​But no matter how busy things get, my heart always loops back to the salon floor. As a fully qualified Level 4 stylist and colour specialist, my absolute obsession is complex hair transformations. I love using advanced technical skills and colour chemistry to completely reset someone's look and skyrocket their confidence. Because of that passion for the craft, another of my favourite roles is passing that knowledge down by teaching hair colouring to our up-and-coming stylists. There is truly nothing more rewarding than mentoring them, watching them build their skills to become completely independent, and knowing I played a part in their growth.
