Happy Thursday 🤎

I’m going to allow this kind of screen time… purely for educational purposes obviously 😅 Me and Matilda are sat watching bornathome today while the house looks like a toy shop’s exploded around us 🫶🏼

Your birth doesn’t have to look a certain way… but it does have to feel a certain way.

Safe. Supported. Powerful. Like you actually had a say in it all.

That’s the bit that matters, whatever path you take.

And honestly, I just feel really lucky that I get to support my clients in all of their choices - in whatever version of birth feels right for them 🤍✨

Thank you Born at Home film for making me emosh 🎬🤎

If you want this kind of care, my DMs are open 🤭💕

Long time since I did a video!!! Lovely 16 week appointment today and the sun was shining 🥰🫶🏻

Not all midwives are the same - and I’m okay saying that 🧡🫶🏻

Because this isn’t just about having someone qualified in the room.

It’s about how safe you feel with them by your side.

You can have all the credentials in the world… and still not be the right person to walk into someone’s birth space. What’s 1000% right for one person might be the wrong thing for another!

I don’t do surface-level care.
I don’t do “just enough.”
And I don’t believe every midwife offers the same experience - because they don’t. We are all unique humans with different personalities.

The clients who choose me aren’t just looking for a midwife.
They’re looking for someone who will:
– know them
– advocate for them
– bring calm into the room
– and hold space in a way that actually changes how their birth feels
– sprinkle humour, kindness and positivity through appointments so you feel ✨ invincible ✨

If that’s what you want… you’ll get it.

If it’s not, I’m probably not for you - and that’s exactly how it should be 🥰

🔗 if this is the care you know you deserve, I offer free, no obligation discovery calls - link is in my bio 🫶🏻🥰

Your dad… at your birth? 😱

No, this isn’t a trick question! 🫣

One of my clients chose to have her dad there… and he was exactly who she needed.

We always talk about women in the birth space, but…
He was the person who truly got her.
The one she felt safest with.
And he showed up as the most incredible birth partner.

This is your reminder that you don’t have to default to who you think should be in the birth room. (Aka your partner being your main support person!)

Birth isn’t about roles.
It’s about safety.

And safety looks different for everyone.

So when you’re thinking about your birth space, ask yourself:
Who helps me feel grounded?
Who do I trust completely?
Who makes me feel safe to be fully vulnerable?

That’s your person 🤍

And on that note, if you want to feel safe with your midwife by your side through it all, my DMs are open ✨

Honestly just out here trying to be professional but my velcro dog said ✨no✨

(also sorry if the wonky picture sends you spiralling I promise I’ll straighten it now)

This kind of misogyny isn’t just ignorant, it’s dangerous.

The belief that women are lesser, that we contribute nothing, that we should be smaller, quieter, controlled… is the same belief system that harms women and girls every single day.

It shows up in violence.
In abuse.
In laws and systems that devalue women’s bodies and lives.

And yet the answer to his question is obvious.

Women have built every single cell of every human who has ever lived.
Grown inside a woman.
Built by her body.
Brought into the world by her.

And of course, not everyone who gives birth identifies as a woman.

Jumping on this trend 🚗 😆

The little girl in these photos had no idea she’d grow up to become a midwife. But looking back… maybe the signs were always there 🤍😆

Now I have the privilege of walking alongside you during one of the most powerful moments of you life - pregnancy, birth and that precious baby bubble.

As an independent midwife, my role isn’t just clinical care. It’s about supporting you, however that looks for you!

✨ Helping you understand your choices
✨ Supporting whatever birth you choose and however it unfolds
✨ Being with you at home or in hospital
✨ Advocating for you fiercely
✨ Making sure you feel safe, heard and respected ALWAYS

Because the right midwife can change everything. 🧡

If you’re looking for personalised, continuous support through pregnancy and birth, my DMs are always open 🤍

🧡 Tomorrow I’m booking a new client, and it truly means the world to be building a business that honours both continuity of care and motherhood.

I feel incredibly grateful to be able to show up fully in both roles - to be the best mum to my little girl and the most present, dedicated midwife to the families I support. This model of care makes that possible, and I don’t take that for granted.

Today’s final inspection process with Matilda included:
Thoughtful details.
Personalised care.
Thorough preparation.
Care that’s completely centred around you.
(And, of course, a very strict approval process.)

If you’re looking for maternity care built around you - from a midwife who genuinely can’t wait to walk alongside you - my inbox is open ✨

I just love knowing I’ve truly made a difference to the families I work with 🧡

When things felt intense, she wasn’t alone.
When decisions needed to be made, she understood them.
When fear was used, we paused and looked at the evidence together.

Birth memories last.

The way you were spoken to lasts.
The way you were made to feel lasts.

You deserve to look back and feel proud. Strong. Heard. In control.

If you’re due from September onwards and want that level of support around you, I’m now accepting enquiries 🤍
