Some moments stay with you long after they pass.

A lovely mum stopped at my stall today. She stood quietly looking at my creams, really thinking - hoping - wondering. Then I saw her little boy holding her hand, and seeing his skin genuinely hit me. Having battled my own skin problems, I know that pain too well, and it honestly upset me to see him struggling like that.

I couldn’t just stay behind my stall. I went over to speak to mum, to understand what he’s been going through, and to see if there was anything I could offer that might bring even a small bit of comfort.

She told me he’s had his skin condition since birth, and nothing they’ve tried has given him the relief they’d hoped. Everything seems to strip his skin before it repairs. I gifted her my Unscented Hair & Body Butter - no charge, just kindness - because I know how much gentle moisture and soothing helped me. My eczema flares in winter but clears in summer with sun and the help of my creams, so gentle sun exposure and barrier moisture should hopefully help this little lads skin start repairing naturally.

She kindly allowed me to share these photos and promised to keep me updated. I truly hope this is the beginning of some comfort for him.
