I had the fantastic opportunity to spend sometime in theatre yesterday observing cosmetic surgery by Mr Ali Khan . So very generous with his time and knowledge what a great team thank you 🙏.
I have recently referred a patient for blepharoplasty and her results are amazing. The plan is to optimise post op results and maintenance with polynucletides with myself here

Here in the UK, it’s important to understand that just because someone offers aesthetic treatments, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are qualified or safe to perform them.
Unlike many other areas of medicine, aesthetic treatments are not tightly regulated. This means that, legally, almost anyone can administer these procedures, regardless of whether they have proper medical training.
This lack of regulation puts the onus on you, the patient, to thoroughly research your chosen practitioner.
A treatment being available doesn’t automatically guarantee that the person providing it is equipped with the necessary knowledge or experience to do so safely.
Aesthetic procedures, though often perceived as simple, carry inherent risks, particularly when it comes to complications such as infection, allergic reactions, or vascular occlusion.
These complications require immediate and skilled medical intervention to avoid long-term damage. That’s why it’s vital that you choose a practitioner who is not only experienced in delivering these treatments but is also qualified to handle any potential complications.
Medical professionals such as doctors, dentists, or nurses with specialist aesthetic training are best placed to safely perform these procedures, ensuring both the effectiveness of the treatment and the safety of the patient.
It’s essential to remember: just because a practitioner can offer a treatment, it doesn’t mean they should – your health and safety must come first.

When you're choosing an aesthetic practitioner, it's important to look beyond just follower counts and those perfectly polished before-and-after photos.
Sure, they might grab your attention, but they don't necessarily show the whole picture. Instead, take a closer look at their qualifications, real client reviews, and how much experience they have under their belt.
Even better, ask around for personal recommendations from people you trust—there's nothing like a friend's honest feedback. These things will give you a much clearer idea of whether you're in safe, capable hands, so you can feel confident about your choice.
