Please, if you ever find yourself in this situation:

Never and I repeat, never try to use water to extinguish an electrical fire. You’re just going to turn into roasted yam.

First, locate the junction box and turn off the electrical supply to the house.

If you do not have a dry powder (blue label) or CO₂ (black label) extinguisher, just make your way out of the building and await help. You’ll only worsen the situation if you fight the fire the wrong way.

If no extinguisher is available, you can try using sand, but I strongly advise you to just leave the area.
