Here’s what I mean…

One thing I've noticed over the years is that people are often surprised by their own reflection.

Not because they've changed overnight.

It's because I think most of us carry a picture of our own face in our minds.

The interesting thing is that it doesn't always update at the same pace as real life.

Maybe that's why a photograph suddenly catches us off guard. Or we catch ourselves in the mirror and think, *"When did that happen?"*

But I don't think most people are actually trying to look younger…

…They’re simply trying to make the face they see feel a little more like the one they recognise.

And I completely understand that.
