Lets talk wedding morning timelines!
When does the bride have their makeup done? When does the hair happen? Is it at the same time? How early do we need to start? How early should we be ready? Im answering it all!
The bride is usually second last in my schedule and id advise 3rd last for hair to make sure your not last, as this is often when photographers arrive and you can start feeling a little overwhelmed with all the questions coming at you!
I prefer hair done before makeup but can be flexible on this, to make our schedules align.
I would not suggest hair and makeup done on the same person at the same time as it can cause delays, so me and your hairstylist will often sync up our timelines to ensure no overlap.
How early you start does depend on a few factors like ceremony time, if you need to travel and how many people are being done but generally its 1 hour before ceremony that all makeup should be completed & I allow ideally 1 hour per person and 1 hour 15 for the bride & setting up takes me 10-15 minutes.
I allow an hour at the end as this last hour FLYS by and this allows time for photos, makeup touch ups, getting dressed and having a drink as well as meeting with your registrars.
All of these things will be discussed at your preview and timelines can be found in your wed quarters on your booking, I will always have your schedule made up well in advance so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help finding it🙌💖

Making change in your business can be scary, and now I am back to busy season and out of slow season, it was absolutely the best thing for me and my business.
Forever I have thought that being back to back 5 days a week with clients was success, but that success took a toll on my social life, mental health and body. Im still working most weeks 5 days a week but the days arent so jam packed out and thats what I need to stay sane and have time for my admin and life, but this doesn’t mean I am unsuccessful if anything it makes me more successful!
I was working sometimes 6/7 days a week to fit everything in and when I looked at my summer diary I realised it was time to let go of something.
I had slowly lost the love for a part of my buisness that kept me able to offer makeup for so many years while growing my clientelle and confidence.
I used to do hd brows and then last year made the jump to stop offering this so I could put my heart and soul into my bridal business.
Some clients had been with me 10+ years so it felt heartbreaking at times doing their last appointment.
I still miss catching up with my clients, if you use a service provider this is the reality that we do care about you, your lives and much more than just the service.
And if you are offering a service alongside makeup that doesnt make you any less of a makeup artist, but if its making you burn the candle at both ends, its time to let go. Making this move was absolutely integral for my business to grow and thrive and I am so glad I was brave enough to take this step a year ago💖

What is “ethereal makeup”?
A style I have coined because I always found it hard to explain my signature makeup that people book me for, but its lit from within skin, a flawless base that lasts and soft glam eyes paired with wispy lashes that frame the eyes to add that glamorous edge.
Think romantic, soft glowy wedding makeup!
Every makeup look is of course tailored to my brides preferences and Jess came with a list of things she does and doesn’t like with her makeup, now I have done it so many times she just lets me free rein (while re creating this look ofc!)
A lot of bridal makeup is collaborative and relies on trust, between you and your makeup artist. Feeling comfortable to be able to speak up and make changes, work together to create a look that feels like it was made for you!
Im in the thick of bridal previews still amongst the start of busy season and I am loving meeting all my wonderful 2026 brides.

Hen do dump from the hen do of DREAMS wow😍
How magical it was to take a step back in time to revisit some of my besties past, going back to somewhere she has so many incredible memories working and living in the amazing Marrakesh.
Going back to her old stomping grounds and with the girls she met there was so incredibly special and magical to get an insight into another side of her that makes her even more special!
Making new friends in your 20s can be crazy because you never stop learning about who they are and I just adored learning even more about on this hen, meeting more of her incredible friends that shes made over the years that have nothing but love for her. It was so lovely to celebrate her and I genuinely cried happy tears for her on this trip over how magical it was for her.
We all had the most unforgettable time and I would do it ten times over! Hen dos are truly once in a lifetime for brides so it really has to be celebrated to the absolute max😍🙌
I cannot wait for the wedding to create even more special memories and celebrate her love 💖
Thank you to the best MOH for organising such an incredible trip, despite being a bridesmaid I barley had to lift a finger as Liss had it all covered and more, so so grateful to have been a part of this trip!
Still not over it, but normal posting will resume now that I have recovered and caught up on my admin 🤣🙌

Thanks for all your bank holiday enquiries, I haven’t been available for many sadly as my diary books up well in advance but I was pleased I could send out a few quotes for dates I am still free for next year!

With hundreds of weddings under my belt, I have seen it all and nothing phases me. Just the other day I had tissues in my ear from a fire alarm going off next to me so I could finish my bridesmaid on time (false alarm of course😅) me and fire alarms have a few stories😅😆
Another time the fire brigade came when the steamer set the fire alarm off because of the building being listed😂 a groom once set off the fire alarm in a hotel waking up a whole hotel of guests at the crack of dawn because his hotel bathroom had become a steam room to try and steam his shirt🙈 I carried on despite feeling half deaf after🙊
And another time a fire alarm test had me outside both hiding the bride from guests and doing the bridesmaids eyeliner outside to stay on schedule.
I will always go above and beyond for my brides and their bridal party on their weddings💖 no matter what chaos is going on around!
