December appointments are filling up. I’ve added more days/times throughout the month so will hopefully have space for new and existing clients to book their massages.
I know that December can feel pretty overwhelming, whether that’s from the constant pressure to create the perfect Christmas or from the demands of work and kid’s school activities, so try to fill your own cup especially if you are the default Christmas doer in your family! Not to forget those who find this season a really difficult time emotionally, a little self care may just help things feel more manageable.

After a consultation, your bespoke massage may include cupping, gua sha, gentle stretching, hot stones, reiki.
If you feel that you need more time on the head or the hands or feet, let’s do that.
If you want to go with the flow, take a more organic approach and see what we discover, then that is the approach we can take - it seems to work for most of my clients!

Studies have shown that massage is an excellent tool to assist with easing the symptoms of perimenopause and it’s even more effective when used alongside aromatherapy.
There’s a long list of reported symptoms of perimenopause, it’s not just hot flushes and irritability. Trouble sleeping, anxiety and brain fog, joint and muscular aches and pains, skin dryness are just a few of the more common symptoms. Every woman’s experiences are different; if you’re lucky you sail through with minimal symptoms at the other end of the scale su***de rates are highest in women in midlife.

This stage of life can be empowering, the feeling of loss of self can be mitigated by taking steps to becoming a new stronger version of yourself especially when we take control to minimise symptoms as we see fit to do so. Massage helps down regulate the nervous system and in combination with the right essential oils the results may be enhanced further. The very act of taking steps to prioritise your self care can help you reconnect with yourself and look at the bigger picture.

The women I see are holding so much, literally and metaphorically juggling and spinning plates and cartwheeling simultaneously!
It’s just what we do, holding things, holding on, sometimes for dear life!
Let me hold space for you to let go of everything even if it is just for an hour. Allow your head be held and feel the tension melt away.

I use aromatherapy in many aspects of my well-being and find they can offer a natural support to some of the symptoms of perimenopause. If you don’t have time to schedule a massage, that’s a sure sign you definitely need one!
One hour a month, doesn’t sound like much does it?
However I know from experience that many women like yourself can list numerous upcoming appointments in their diary for their work, kids, partners, house things, pets (don’t get me started on horse owners!!) while you have nothing scheduled for yourself.
Make the time for some self care and put it in the diary on a regular basis-you can’t pour from an empty cup!
