𝐁𝐨𝐱 𝐝𝐲𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞 - 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫 🫶🏼

Back in January this gorgeous girl sent me a DM looking to go platinum blonde, explaining her hair history consisted of years or red and then black box dye. So unfortunately going platinum at that stage was a complete no… however lightening it was still possible with patience.

So we got her booked in, in January and our start point was photo 5, we went in with 2 colour removers and the result was of course very red (photo 4). After leaving the remover to settle in the hair for a few days she came back in and we covered with a level 5.

2 months later and we begun our foiling journey working carefully to lighten whilst keeping the integrity of her hair especially with how long it is! Which got us to a stunning caramel dimensional look.

Fast forward to last week and we managed to come to a compromise on cutting roughly 3 inches of the ends to allow us to push further with our journey and the results really do speak for themselves.

It’s not quite platinum however with patience and a good at home hair care routine aswell as trusting in the process we have made amazing progress and cannot wait to continue lightening and working towards our goal 🫶🏼

My lovely client came in this time ready to soften out her blonde, breaking through her regrowth with a few very fine foils to lighten them up, and then going in and pulling her natural colour through to add some soft dimension and seamlessly blend her previous regrowth. Creating a much softer look and allowing more time in between maintenance appointments ✨

My gorgeous client had been one of my blonde balayage girlies for almost 2 years when she decided she wanted to go back dark. I had put it off for a couple appointments to make sure she was really sure and then we went all in.

I will give it to her she lasted 6 months dark but now is ready to get back to a nice dimensional balayage. Working with intention and care, using a low and controlled peroxide and purposeful placement to ensure she leaves feeling the difference in the colour without over doing it and risking the integrity of her hair. Working on previously lightened hair is always a lot more complex and it is so important not to push the hair to far and rush to the end goal, it takes time to get to the result, and the correct aftercare really will effect how far in the journey you can get without damaging your hair. 💘

The most beautiful client with the most gorgeous hair - you know it’s long when it doesn’t even fit in the frame - Loved making this girlie blonde!

Going in with a creative balayage technique, switching between fine teasy lights and some thick woven pieces to create a soft but dimensional feel, and then scattered tip out working to break through previous colour through the ends without loosing the dimension fully.
