It has been a wonderful experience to hold retreats over the past few months and we have also made a lot of progress with our new SWEAT LODGE! More to follow in a few weeks time.

WHERE HAS THE YEAR GONE?
We find ourselves scratching our heads at just how quickly the year has passed. It has been a transformative year, and we have welcomed many wonderful guests through our doors wishing to explore their own personal transformations. A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us, visited us, and attended our classes and events in 2025.

A Season of Turning Inward
Slowing down, gathering in, and listening within

After a vibrant and full summer at Awakening Alchemy Retreat Centre, we find ourselves moving gently into autumn — the season of slowing down, gathering in, and listening within. The garden quiets, the air cools, and nature begins its graceful descent toward stillness. It is a time for reflection, to look back on what has unfolded throughout the year and to notice how those outer experiences have shaped our inner landscape.

In this spirit of introspection, our feature article “Beyond the Craving” explores what happens when we turn toward the deeper longing beneath our habits and impulses. It invites us to see addiction not as a flaw, but as a form of intelligence — the body and soul seeking balance and connection. As the outer world contracts into quiet, we are reminded that healing often begins in that same stillness — when we allow awareness to meet what calls from within.

Hi everyone. Have you been able to enjoy the sunny weather? Our beautiful garden at the retreat centre is really soaking up the sunshine and is growing faster and faster each day!

We are searching for people who would like to find some peace and serenity by volunteering in our garden. Our retreat is nestled on the side of the Hill of Fare next to Midmar Forest - not far from Forest Cafe . If you love gardening but don't have your own garden, or you're simply looking for somewhere to just "be" away from the hustle and bustle, we'd be very grateful for your help in creating a magical, healing space for those who come to stay in search of improved well being. 🌱 Local Volunteer Callout – Garden Help Needed! 🌱
We’re looking for a few helping hands from our lovely local community!

Spring has truly sprung and we’re giving our enchanted garden some much-needed love — and we’d be so grateful for your support. If you enjoy being outdoors, love plants, or just want to lend a hand in a peaceful setting, come join us!

🗓 When: Saturday, 24th May, 10am - 2pm
📍 Where: Awakening Alchemy Retreat Centre, Midmar, AB51 7NB
🌿 What we’ll do: Weeding, cutting back, tidying, clearing the burn
💚 What we need: Green thumbs, enthusiasm, humour, muscle power, and tools
💚 We provide: Tea, coffee, home baked cake, good vibes, and gratitude!

Whether you can spare an hour or the whole four hours, we’d love to have you. Just drop us a message or comment below if you're interested.

All volunteers will also be given a free ticket to our June community sound bath!
