Did you know your lip hairs can actually help with lip blush mapping? đź‘€

A little trick I use is applying concealer around the lip border. Lip hairs don’t grow on lip tissue, so it helps me clearly distinguish between the lip and surrounding skin before mapping.

It’s also one of the reasons I ask clients not to remove any facial hair for at least 2 weeks before their appointment. Those tiny hairs can provide useful guidance when identifying the true lip border and help reduce the risk of pigment being implanted outside the lip tissue.

Lip blush isn’t just about choosing a colour and picking up a machine. The preparation, assessment and mapping stage all play a huge role in creating a beautiful healed result 👄

It’s the small details that make all the difference ✨

Why are top ups so important?đź‘„

These photos show exactly why…

➡️ Photo 1: Immediately after the top up
➡️ Photo 2: Healed result after the first session
➡️ Photo 3: Before treatment

Lip blush is a process, not a one-appointment treatment. After your first session, it’s completely normal for some areas to heal lighter or retain pigment differently. The top up allows me to perfect the shape, build colour where needed, and create a more even, long-lasting result.

Every set of lips heals differently depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, previous lip colour, and aftercare. That’s why your included top up is such an important part of achieving the final result.

The goal isn’t harsh or overdone lips – it’s healthy-looking colour, improved definition, and a beautiful healed result that still looks like you 💕

Would you have guessed these were the same lips? ✨

Some of my favourite healed work so far. My client wanted to keep her lips as close to her natural colour as possible. Naturally she had a mauvy pink hue so we chose Red Earth (70%) mixed with Soft Beige (30%)♥️🤎

Not all lip blush is pink… sometimes warm just hits different 🔥

Using Barberry, we created a soft warm-toned flush that brings life back into the lips without looking overdone. Think subtle warmth, healthy colour and a finish that actually complements her natural undertones 🤍

The focus here wasn’t just colour — it was:
• Restoring shape
• Softening uneven tone
• Adding that warmth that was missing

Warm shades like this are perfect if you:
– Feel washed out with cool tones
– Prefer peachy/coral undertones
– Want something natural but still noticeable

Healed, this will settle into a softer, seamless warmth that looks like it belongs there ✨

Unsure whether you suit warm or cool tones?
