Here is what you should do before your appointment:

💉 Come fresh faced
💉 Avoid alcohol 48 hours before your appointment
💉 Do not take painkillers before hand

Ensuring you follow the above tips, means your appointment will go as smoothly as possible. Also avoiding alcohol means we can minimise the chances of increased swelling and bruising. 💕

What’s filler life span? 🤷🏼‍♀️

The length of time filler lasts is solely down to two things:

✨ The area in which you get the filler
✨ The individual

On average filler lasts between 6 - 12 months before needing a top up. This is due to the body naturally breaking down the filler.

Here are the differences between the classic and Russian lip filler techniques.

The classic technique focuses on more volume and less height. It is usually used to create more natural looking results.

✨ Russian ✨

The Russian technique focuses on creating a flatter looking side profile, increasing the height of your lips rather then adding volume. This technique usually changes your lip shape more dramatically then the classic.

With summer here… here’s what you need to be aware of! ☀️

Filler does not like UV rays! 👎

It can reduce their effects and irritate the skin. As a doctor I need to advise you that sunbeds should only be used in moderation if at all and same with sitting in the sun, regardless on the effects of filler, even though I understand we all love catching some rays. 🙌

I advise that you avoid any extreme sun exposure, sunbeds and any intense heat for at least 2 weeks after getting lip filler. 💋

If you can’t avoid it, then ensure you wear an extremely high SPF! 💕
