🧠Any thoughts?
The causes as you see can be related to many factors.
In 2018 there were suggestions that the rise in milk allergy cases was due to industry influence, a topic that continues to spark debate.
I'm really looking forward to presenting at the infant allergy conference in London on the 17th November and supporting education for health professionals on cows milk allergy.
Without these platforms we wouldn't be able to support our patients and share the most up to date research with professionals.
The feedback I have received in the past has been very humbling where GPs and paediatricians who do not work in the area of allergy have said it has helped them with diagnosis, prescribing and timely referrals.
What do you think?
⚠️This isn't going to change practice and the milk ladder is still how we reintroduction so do not worry but it just shows again how essential research is to allergy.
In the majority of cases (if not all) we need funding to do this. This study was funded by a company called Mead Johnson.

✨ Poor advice I hear far too often about cow’s milk allergy (CMA) ✨
I know most people can mean well — but with regards to food allergy the wrong advice can make feeding confusing, delay getting the right support and also be very dangerous!
If you’ve ever been told “a little won’t hurt” or “they’d have a rash if it was an allergy” — you’re definitely not alone.
I want parents to feel confident spotting the signs and getting the right help early on 💜
