From the archives: A henna creation that was was heavily inspired by (elephant and the bride). It was a composition of several different mehndi patterns and we pieced together bits from each of the bride’s favourite designs. The groom was drawn from a side profile of his actual photo - not meant to be a realistic portrait but I wanted to imply that the bride and groom in the mehndi were the couple themselves. I know I did a good job of it because the bride was just awed by it throughout the whole duration. Do you like?

An oldie but a goldie! This one was created long before I learnt about the formula for creating bridal compositions. But the beauty of henna is you are not limited to formulae or rules (although they do help in taking the guesswork out of composition and layouts). Creativity is limitless - once you know the rules you can break them with confidence too and create as far as your imagination takes you.
