This super quick check will help you get more bookings through your website.
Have a look through your website, and make note of how often you’re using terms like ‘I’ and ‘I’m’
If these are coming up a lot in your web copy, ask yourself how you can flip that to be about your ideal client instead.
Remember, your website is not about you, it’s about your clients and the journey they go through to decide you’re the perfect match for them.
So make sure you’re talking directly to them.
If this is something you struggle with then how very lucky that I have copywriting guides to help you with this AND for this week everything in the shop is 40% off! See the link in bio.
Also, I’m giving away a FREE VIP DAY to one of my beautiful followers this week - you could always use that day to perfect your customer journey on your website!
Just share this post and comment your favorite emoji to be entered

Should you show pricing on your photography website?
This question comes up quite often, so my best advice would be yes…. kind of haha - Not helpful I know.
Remember we want to consider your customer journey, so being completely upfront on your website about pricing is a good idea.
But I would recommend only using ‘starting at’
This will deter any clients that can’t afford you and saves both parties time.
Then - this is the clever part - You’ll want to also have a pricing guide which gives further details.
And your potential clients need to provide their email address - which has now just become a hot lead that you can follow up selling the results and the emotions.
Instead of someone you’ll never know existed visiting your website and never returning.
If improving your customer journey is something you’ve been meaning to do, as well as having an on-brand pricing guide, this is all included within the Web Design Experience I offer. There’s only a few spots available in October. Hit the link in my bio to find out more.
Tell me, do you currently use a pricing guide, or would you want more information about what to include? I’ll be talking about this more in my stories this week.

I say this with love
But please stop speaking in 3rd person on your website!
People want to feel a connection with you before they decide to work with you.
Speaking in third person gives a really impersonal experience for the user which is a big no no.
It also gives the impression that they won't be speaking or working directly with you, which will turn many people away.
This is a super quick tweak you can implement today to help with more conversions through your website.
Spread the word and share this with business owners that need to hear this.

Did you know having a custom website could do all of this for you?
1. Creates a lasting impression
Think about how you feel when you see an outdated or unprofessional looking website. Does it make you want to work with that person, or even want to stay on their website? However, when you land on a website that's been designed with strategy, you feel more trust towards that person or company instantly.
2. Stand out against competitors
Keeping your branding consistent across all channels, from social media through to your website is one of the best ways to stand out as an authority in your niche.
3. Attracts high-ticket clients
A professional, well-designed website with a high-end feel will naturally attract high-ticket clients and help boost revenue as a result.
4. Improves SEO
SEO is no longer just about ranking for keywords. Google tracks your whole website, including usability. If your site isn't mobile-friendly, you will be penalized in search rankings.
5. Reduced Bounce Rates
A professional website design not only attracts visitors to your site, but helps keep them there, exploring what your business has to offer.
6. Saves time and money
Let's have this right, building your own website when it's not a platform you're familiar with is time-consuming. My first attempt took me 3 months. Investing in a professional website when your business is ready will save you the sleepless nights, and any costly mistakes in the long run.
Is your business ready for all of this?

To all those feeling imposter syndrome or even just not quite feeling adequate: your voice matters. What you’ve learned matters. What you have to say matters and you deserve a spot at the table.
This took me way too long to realize.
Did you know I'm actually a trained coach?
But imposter syndrome really got to me, and for now, I abandoned all aspirations of coaching people.
Luckily, it didn't knock me down enough to completely walk away from my business.
But instead, I pivoted into something I'd actually always wanted to do anyway - but thought I couldn't!
It's still very much there sometimes, but for the most part, I'm managing to push through imposter syndrome and it feels good.
It's still very much there sometimes, but for the most part I'm managing to push through imposter syndrome and it feels good.
Save this for when you need a reminder of how far you've come, and how incredible you are!
I don't mean to offend anyone here, but we as people, I am people too, are lazy.
We want to know what's in it for us quickly.
You might have the most beautiful Instagram feed in the world, but remember it's actually a lot of work for someone to go through all your posts to want to buy from you instantly.
However, if your website is designed in a way to take your ideal client on a chronological journey to know, like and trust you, you can see results much faster.
So what does that look like?
Your home page should address them (the character) with who they are, has a problem - who needs a guide - gives them a plan - followed with a CTA.
Make these small little tweaks on your homepage, and see the difference in your conversions.
Share with someone you think will find this helpful.
Have you ever been ghosted?
The more I’m speaking to people about web design, the more I’m learning about past horror stories from them about having worked with a designer before, & being ghosted by the designer, sometimes mid project.
I’m not here to call anyone out, I was just so shocked to learn this.
That’s why connections are so important to me in my work.
I take your business on like it was my business.
I do everything I can to really get to know you and build a friendship with you.
I want your business to thrive when we work together.
And I want to build a lasting partnership, and my clients to feel they can always come back to me to celebrate their wins, any questions, or small updates.
I could not imagine ghosting a person I’ve built all that up with.
Have you ever had an awful experience like this?
Or have you had an amazing experience with someone, and what made them so amazing?
Feel free to give them the kudos they deserve in the comments.
