Growing up, I’ve heard it all…”fatty,’ ‘overweight,’ ‘heavy,’ ‘when are you going to lose weight?’ or ‘I bet she eats a lot, just look at her!’ The list goes on, and trust me, those words didn’t affect anyone but me. It’s heartbreaking to feel like you have to look a certain way just to be accepted.

Those who know me understand my insecurities about my face, my body, and my overall appearance. But who am I fearing? What am I fearing? The truth is, I’ve been hurting myself more than anyone, and there’s no reason for that.

This year, I’ve made a promise to myself . I will learn to accept who I am, and I will make the effort to build my confidence, one step at a time. 💕
