Dodge Viper (ˈvaɪpər) is a sports car of Dodge (a division of Chrysler Corporation). Production of the two-seater car began in 1992 at the New Mack Assembly plant. The progenitor and having common features with the Viper, both interior and exterior was the Dodge Stealth [source not specified 1638 days], aka Mitsubishi 3000GT, which was introduced a year earlier. By the way, the design of both early iconic models belongs to Tom Gale, who then headed the design department of Chrysler. In October 1995, production was moved to the Conner Avenue Assembly plant, where it continued until recently. The car, as well as its numerous modifications, can often be seen in various TV shows, video games, movies and music videos. Since 2012, the car has been under the wing of the SRT department as the flagship, and until the first half of 2014 it was designated as the SRT Viper[1].
