Happy Wednesday morning to everyone struggling with thin, flat, or limp hair! đ¤
I thought I would share a couple of products that Iâve been using lately and have really been enjoying for adding some serious life back into my locks.
1. Insight Professional Shampoo & Conditioner
First up is the Insight Shampoo and Conditioner
If you havenât tried this brand yet, i do recommend it. They focus on clean, organic ingredients that provide a lightweight but deeply nourishing cleanse. When you have fine or flat hair, the biggest culprit is often heavy silicones or parabens that can really weigh your roots down.
Insight cleanses without stripping, leaving the hair bouncy, fresh, and well prepped for styling. Definitely a must try!
2. Sachajuan Ocean Mist Salt Spray
Next is one of my favourite texture products: Sachajuan Ocean Mist Salt Spray ().
If youâve ever wondered why salt spray works so well to thicken up limp hair, it all comes down to a bit of science.
Natural Friction: The salt crystals in the spray coat the hair shaft, creating subtle friction. Instead of sliding, the strands grab onto each other, instantly creating thickness and volume.
Absorbs Excess Oils: Salt naturally absorbs light oils at the root, acting like a lightweight refresher that keeps your hair from looking greasy or deflated.
Instant Structure & Hold: It gives you that effortless, matte âjust left the beachâ texture. It adds just enough grip and hold to give fine hair structural integrity, making it look fuller and keeping it from falling flat an hour after styling.
It gives you that perfect, effortless movement without feeling crunchy or stiff. I absolutely love the stuff!
Iâll be posting the links to the products in my story above. Go ahead and check them out if youâre in the market for something new!
Lisa is back in the chair after four months and this time we are taking it short. Our ultimate inspiration is Charlize Theronâs iconic modern bob.
In this video we break down exactly how to tailor a short cut to the individual:
Finding the absolute perfect length for Lisaâs face shape.
How to part and wear the hair to complement and elevate her natural features.
What to actually ask your stylist for if you want a softer, less rigid, and more lived-in texture.
Bobs have made a massive comeback, but the number one concern I hear is that ââit wonât suit meââ or that it will look ââtoo old-fashioned and stiff.ââ
The truth is there is no single, one-size-fits-all bob. Every cut can and should be completely customised to your unique features, hair type, and lifestyle.
If you want to master the art of choosing the perfect style for your face shape and lifestyle, stay tuned and make sure you are following along. I will be announcing an exclusive online book dedicated entirely to this topic very soon.
Canât wait until the launch? Letâs figure it out together now. Book an online 1:1 consultation with me via the link in my bio âŹď¸

If youâve ever walked out of a salon looking less like your inspiration photo and more like King George III because your stylist refused to give you a reality check, youâre not alone.
In this clip, I talk about why I choose constructive honesty over a blunt âno.â If your hair wonât do what the photo does, a stylist needs to state the limitations clearlyâbut then immediately pivot to the possibilities.
Itâs about working with your natural texture to make your hair the best it can possibly be, rather than chasing a look that was never meant to be.
Iâm always curious to hear about your time in the chair. What is your ultimate best or worst hair experience? Looking back, how do you think the stylist could have handled it better to save the day - or conversely why did it click so perfectly for you? I would love to hear your stories!

A bob is never âone size fits allâ - and there are techniques you can deploy to help your new haircut look more lived-in, natural and less rigid.

Anyone else feel like theyâre fighting a losing battle against humidity? đĽľ
If your hair is thin but has a curly, frizzy texture, you know the struggle. Traditional smoothing products just weigh it down, making it look thinner.
Emma was facing exactly that. Her hair health journey with has been an incredible success (the new growth on top is so much thicker!), but it meant the ends were looking sparse and stringy by comparison.
We brought her hair back to life, and in this video, weâre sharing the exact blueprint for a polished, volumized finish:
The Clean Up: Trimming away the gaps to instantly create the illusion of thickness.
The Prep: Elvive Dream Lengths Blowdry Creamâapplied root to tip because itâs light enough not to weigh things down.
The Polish: Switching out ceramic brushes for an boar bristle brush to protect against overheating and add beautiful shine.
Watch the transformation and tell me: Whatâs your favourite product for beating the humidity if you have thin hair? Iâd love to hear from you.

What do you do when you have it all going on? Full tutorial will be up next weekâŚ
Did you know that you can also use âTrinny waveâ technique to create polished curls?
The basic concept is the same, except in this case we use a smaller round brush and multiple twists (rather than just the one).
Full tutorial coming up soon!
I often get messages asking for a more in-depth look at the âtwistingâ technique I use to achieve Trinnyâs waves.
In todayâs tutorial we discuss Susanâs current hair shape, explore different ways to refine it - and get to grips with the âTrinny waveâ technique.
Do let me know how you get on if youâre trying this at home.

What have you found works for you and your unique face shape? What would you like to know more about?
Full tutorial coming soonâŚ
To bobâŚor not-to-bob - that doesnât have to be the only question! Bobs come in different shapes and a variety of lengths, meaning you can really tailor it to your individual face shape, requirements and hair type.
For the full tutorial, please do follow along - where we will be exploring the âgraduated bobâ in greater detail later on this month
