care tip of the week

Don't wash your hair frequently
Wash your hair every 2-3 days, for proper regulation of natural hair oils. Washing your hair less often will also help regain your hair's natural body and luster.

Massage Your Scalp
A soothing scalp massage every few nights will help stimulate the hair follicles and help with blood flow to the scalp to encourage healthy growth.

care tip of the week

An egg mask is perhaps one of the most potent remedies for healthy hair, and for one very good reason – it is the best source of B Vitamins, essential for hair health! Vitamins B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin) and B5 (pantothenic acid) are good for hair flexibility, strength and overall wellness. Biotin or Vitamin B7 is especially essential for hair growth, while folic acid can help avoid premature greying. To combat this, eggs make for a fabulous topical application.

Use both the yolk and the white. The yolk works as a moisturiser for dry locks and is also a superfood due to the multitude of nutrients. What’s more, it helps retains the hair’s natural sheen thanks to its moisturising benefits. Crack open two eggs, and then beat its contents well in a bowl. Apply all over hair and scalp and leave on for ten minutes. Rinse well and follow up with your usual shampoo and conditioner regime.

Skincare tip of the week
Moisture is everything
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – we’re not kidding! When it comes to your skin, hydration is everything. Even if you have oily skin, you need to keep your skin hydrated; otherwise, it’ll produce more oil in an attempt to compensate. Make sure you’re moisturizing twice a day and topping up with a nighttime serum and facial mist throughout the day. Look for hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, peptides, and ceramides.

care tip of the week, concentrate shampoo on the scalp.

In contrast to conditioner, which should be focused on the lengths and ends of your strands, shampoo should be concentrated on the scalp. Washing only the lengths and ends of your hair can strip strands of their moisture and cause them to become lackluster, dull, and dry. Your scalp (which produces oil and constantly sheds skin cells) is the area that really needs cleansing, so when you shampoo, keep your efforts focused on your scalp and roots.

tip of the week
Avoid direct heat exposure.
Don't just watch out for the sun — getting too close to heaters and fireplaces can also wreak havoc on your skin. It causes inflammation and collagen breakdown. I would recommend staying at least ten feet away.

care tip of the week
DON’T DRY OFF USING A TOWEL

A towel totally seems like the obvious way to remove excess water and start drying your hair post-shower, but it may not be what’s best. Squeeze out excess water and then dry off using an old cotton T-shirt, which is gentler than a towel.

care tip of the week
Use the correct cleanser for your skin type.

For oily or acne-prone skin, a salicylic gel or benzoyl peroxide wash works great
For dry mature skin, use either a moisturizing glycolic or milky cleanser.
For skin with brown spots or melasma, use a brightening wash, such as an alpha hydroxy acid cleanser.
