The Barber Cave is well stocked with sensory toys for the those that need them.

Dan is the only lad who I let have a single grade all over, that's because he wants to look like his idol Wentworth Miller. Sounds fair to me.

People often ask why I am frequently hairless on one are...It's a badge of honour, as I let especially anxious clients use my clippers on me to demonstrate that they can't be cut by them.

For many of my clients, especially younger clients, meeting my chickens is a massive draw. In fact, they could probably have their own page.

Charlie loves meeting The SEN Barber's chicken's and going home with a batch of eggs. The SEN Barber uses his chickens as animal therapy which has been proven to decrease stress and anxiety.

Gary has global development delay and has always cut his own hair, finding trips to a regular barbers way too traumatic. Gary would often shave his head all over (a regular habit of those with SEN & Autism). The SEN Barber is on a mission to to stop this trend, and managed to convince Gary to let him try something different. Gary has never looked back since, understanding that he too can rock the latest fades and trends.

The SEN Barber believes that those with SEN & Autism are as entitled as anyone to rock the latest styles and trends. The sound of hair clippers can be massively traumatic to people with special needs and Autism, so the SEN Barber uses specialist equipment and techniques to deliver fades and modern cuts.

Shaun travels all the way from South London to enjoy the bespoke, personal service that the SEN Barber provides and to get his fade on point.

The SEN Barber has over 10 years experience working with those who have special educational needs and Autism. In that time the SEN Barber has developed methods & practices in understanding people with SEN & Autism that you just wont find at a regular barbers or hairdressers.

The SEN Barber offers a mobile service for those who would rather have a haircut in the comfort of their own home. This service can be especially comforting to younger clients who are afraid of visiting an unfamiliar location.

The Barber Cave/ Chapel is an unashamedly SEN space, which can be adapted to cater to each individual client's needs by changing lighting levels, décor and choice of music.
