So proud of my brilliant friend, , for hosting the ‘Mental Health in Pregnancy and the First Year: a Fair Start for Every Family with the ’, this morning, on TV. And our fantastic panel, and NSPCC’s Vicky Nevin. Couldn’t have asked for a better discussion around so many of the big issues we need to be talking about, and Alex, you did it with intelligent questioning and thoughtful guidance and grace. I’m proud also to work for NSPCC myself, to be part of the fight for better perinatal mental health care for ALL families ✅💚 Find out more, here: http://nspcc.org.uk/fair-start

Afternoon tea 💕🌿🍰 It felt like a wonderful dream to finally get to do something that had been on my ‘to visit’ list, once again. The exquisite nursery has lots of dining options; a restaurant, tea house and the afternoon tea conservatory. I was a bit sad when I woke up and saw the rain, but it was actually for the best, as it would have been sweltering if the sun was out. As it was, we feasted on the miniature cakes and sandwiches for three hours, finished off with buttermilk scones, will post pics in stories. What makes it special, and stand out from the rest of the tiered-tea-toting-tribe, is the fresh ingredients used, grown at the nursery. Why can’t all tomatoes taste as good as these? And ingenious little touches, like the candied walnuts and pickled shallots on fits cheese 👌🏼 And, of course, not forgetting the awesome floral displays. I have been feeling anxious about going out and about too many places, now I’m in my third trimester, but it is well ventilated, here, and spaced out, making a perfect place to hole up with a friend or two and while away a lovely afternoon 🌸💕💐🌷🌺

When your auntie drops over a handmade mud kitchen, you spend the rest of the day making ham and stone salad and leaf pizza 🍕 What an amazing gift for Evie - her auntie is top of her love list, now ❤️ It’s an upcycled desk turned into a play kitchen, with utensil pots, jobs and oven shelves - serious skills, . I think she should start her own line in , what do you think? Do you have one?

Take me back to the land where fish and chips that aren’t soggy 🌊 My favourite fish and chippers are in Whitstable, and in Leith - couldn’t get much further apart! This pic was at The Fishmarket, and from the look on my daughter’s face, I wasn’t passing the chips fast enough....👌🏼 Happy 💙

Entertaining toddler can be challenging at the best of times. But during a pandemic, in isolation, without easy access to supplies, or a garden? It was…. Yikes. So this summer, we want to start afresh and focus on PLAY 🎉 to bring us all back together, in more ways than one ❤️

This summer, we are choosing to support the by spending two days ‘playing’, in celebration of the charity’s first ever flagship day: ‘Childhood Day‘. After the year we have had, during the Coronavirus pandemic, we could all do with some playtime.
I work at the NSPCC, so experience first-hand how vital the funds raised are, and how they are used to help be there for children. You can help us fight for every childhood and donate to our Childhood Day family fundraising page, now [https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/catherinehudsonchildhoodday] in support of our efforts – we had a fancy dress and garden games party on the 15th of May 2021 (see pics of my daughter, nephew and niece, above), and will have a fancy dress mini disco on Childhood Day itself on the 11th June, 2021 - why don’t you have one too? Any excuse to dress up and disco...
Or why not set up your own ‘play day’ or ‘play event’, to do some fundraising of your own? And let’s get the nation playing, again!

Hope you’ve all had a glorious bank holiday. Ours started on Saturday in the New Forest, pony spotting, carried on with long-time-no-see friends visit us for Sunday, and finished today with a good old fashioned trip to Homebase to buy a mad amount of plants and spending the rest of the day planting and painting. What a knock out, nice one 👌🏼 How about you?

How it’s going >> how it started... six years, one daughter, one baby baking and loads of adventures under our belts, and still to come. Life’s changed, as it should. Can’t wait to see what’s next, for the four of us...

Almost time to explore the wide world again, little one 💚💙 Can’t wait to get back out there and show her beyond our bubble. This is a beautiful wheat field in Kent, where we spent a fantastic day with our best friends again, first time seeing them since October. Magic 🤩

Entertaining a toddler can be challenging at the best of times. But during a pandemic, in isolation, without easy access to supplies, or a garden? It was…. Yikes.
We, as a family, put our best creative hats on and dreamt up 26 ‘isolation creations’ that you could also make at home with your little ones.
While we made this list, [link in bio], and created the crafts during summer 2020, we asked followers to donate whatever they could to our fundraising page, to encourage our efforts / if they appreciated the inspiration – anything from 26p to £26, or whatever they could, (as part of the London Marathon 2.6 challenge), to the charity, NSPCC (the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children).
This summer, we choose to support the NSPCC once more, by spending two days ‘playing’, in celebration of the charity’s first ever flagship day: ‘Childhood Day‘. After the year we have had, during the Coronavirus pandemic, we could all do with some playtime.

Post-pandemic adventure, take one! It didn’t matter that (indoors) was still closed to visitors when we visited last weekend, because in-and-among the gloriously green grounds, there lay an activity trail: Zog and the Quest for the Golden Star. This is what we were here for; some serious toddler-point-scoring... The idyllic location was an added bonus for us grown-ups, which, thanks to the weather, felt like a trip abroad. Sweet freedom (with excellent safeguarding measures, thrown in)! ⚔️👑☀️ Thank you to Warwick Castle and for arranging our visit

Cousins strolling the endless dunes at Holkham beach, part of the larger nature reserve, in Norfolk. It’s been a long time since anywhere has taken my breath away but this place is a dream 👌🏼🤍
