When considering facelifts, people often think age is the most important factor.
In reality, the physical changes in the face and neck are usually more relevant.
Some younger patients, for example, may develop looseness and sagging after significant weight loss, making surgery a worthwhile option. Conversely, patients in their 70s who are fit and healthy may still be excellent candidates for a deep plane facelift.
Ultimately, suitability depends on anatomy, overall health, and whether the procedure is right for the individual, rather than age alone.

Behind every clinic is a team that shapes the experience.
From the first conversation to the final follow-up, every detail matters.
Our focus is simple: clear communication, thoughtful care, a calm environment, and a team that understands the importance of trust.
Because a clinic is not only defined by the treatments it offers.
It is defined by the people behind it.
By the way patients are welcomed.
By the time taken to explain each step.
By the standards followed every day.
Our team is proud to create a clinic experience built on professionalism, care and attention to detail.
That is what makes the difference.
For some patients, the decision to have a facelift is not sudden. It remains at the back of their minds for years before the timing feels right.
In this case, the idea had been present since the age of 50. Not because of one specific moment, but because she had become increasingly aware of ageing, and knew she wanted to address it thoughtfully.
Research shaped her decision. She looked at different facelift techniques, considered which would give the most long-lasting result, and found a clinic that felt right, and a surgeon whose work, professionalism, and credentials inspired confidence.
That is often how these decisions are made: not quickly, or without due consideration, but with time, thought, and a clear sense of priorities.

Being able to breathe properly is something many people do not fully appreciate until proper breathing has been disrupted for an extended period.
For Zac, the change was significant enough for him to describe it as an improvement in his quality of life, which speaks volumes about the role septoplasty can play when nasal obstruction affects everyday comfort.
He also mentioned how caring and communicative Dr Supriya was throughout the process, an important point. Surgery is not only about the operation itself, but also about feeling informed, looked after, and properly supported from start to finish.
Thank you, Zac, for your generous words and for sharing your experience.

A lot of people assume that a deep plane facelift must mean more swelling, more bruising, and a more difficult recovery.
In fact, this is often not the case.
One of the key differences with a deep plane composite facelift is that the skin is not separated from the deeper tissues to the same extent as with a more superficial skin lift. Because of this, patients often experience less swelling, bruising, and discomfort than they expect.
It is worth remembering that recovery is not only about how extensive a procedure sounds, but also about how the surgery is actually performed.
This is why understanding technique matters. Two procedures may sound similar, but the recovery experience can be very different.

General anaesthesia is a common concern for patients facing surgery.
Many are anxious not only about the operation itself, but also about what being under general anaesthetic entails, how it will feel, and what to expect afterwards.
In essence, general anaesthesia enables surgery to be performed while the patient is completely asleep and carefully monitored. It is planned in advance, tailored to the individual, and administered by a specialist anaesthetist responsible for the patient's wellbeing before, during, and immediately after the procedure.
For patients, this usually involves extensive behind-the-scenes preparation. Questions are answered, medical history is reviewed, and every aspect is considered with safety and comfort paramount.
Understanding what general anaesthesia involves can demystify the surgical process, and this clarity is often as important as the procedure itself.

"Every day is a school day," our patient said.
A small comment, but one that made us smile.
It arose from a normal conversation between our patient and Kathy, our Clinical Director, about work, ambulance stations, Sheffield, and being sent all over the country.
Nothing staged; just a genuine moment in the middle of the day.
It's easy to think surgery days are serious from start to finish, but that isn't always the case. Sometimes it's these ordinary conversations that help everyone feel a little more relaxed.

Rhinoplasty is never about changing a face; it is about understanding what feels unbalanced and addressing it with care, precision, and restraint.
In the case of this 27-year-old patient, Mr Supriya planned the procedure with close attention to her anatomy, profile, and how her nose related to her other features. The aim was not to create a different face, but to bring greater harmony and refinement while respecting her existing features.
As with all rhinoplasty surgery, healing continues well beyond the early postoperative stage. Swelling settles gradually, particularly through the bridge and tip, and the final result reveals itself over time.

The patient experience begins long before any procedure takes place.
From the moment someone enters the building, the aim is for their experience to feel calm, considered, and welcoming. Even those first few steps – entering the building, making their way upstairs, arriving at reception – can shape how the rest of their day unfolds.
For many patients, this part of their journey involves a mixture of anticipation, nerves, and trust, which is why creating the right environment is so important.
At the British Face Clinic, care begins from the moment you arrive.

We do not believe in perfection.
We believe in grace, softness, and balance; in looking like yourself, only more at ease in your own skin.
At British Face Clinic, the conversation has never been about chasing an ideal. It is about understanding what feels out of harmony, listening carefully, and approaching change with skill, restraint, and respect for the individual.
The most meaningful results are rarely obvious. They are considered, settled, and quietly right for the person in front of us.
That is what we stand for.

This stage is often more emotional than people expect.
Walking into the operating theatre can evoke a range of feelings: nerves, trust, and anticipation, as well as the sense that something significant is about to begin.
By this point, much has already been done behind the scenes. The planning is complete, the team is prepared, and every detail has been carefully considered.
Surgery day is not just about the procedure itself; it is also about feeling supported, informed and cared for throughout the entire experience.
