The Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package worth over £500k, including a launch into 50 Boots stores, a gold marketing package, a Boots.com listing, executive mentorship, and two years of complimentary CEW UK membership.

The Runner-Up will receive a prize package worth over £350k, including a Boots.com launch, silver marketing package, senior Boots mentoring, and six months of complimentary CEW UK membership. This is a brand new award for 2026, created to honour indie brands that are redefining beauty. Brands entered into our Best Established Independent Beauty Brand and Best New Independent Beauty Brand categories are automatically considered, with one winner celebrated across both.
 
The winner is chosen by a curated group of CEW members including editors, journalists, creators, and broadcasters, who take the time to explore each brand, uncover its story, and assess what truly makes it stand out.

This award recognises a beauty product or product line that has most significantly moved towards the goal of improved sustainability.

The award is split into 2 categories as follows:

The ‘CEW Responsible Beauty Award for Excellence’ to reward brands that are consistently performant in sustainability and the ‘CEW Responsible Beauty Award for Innovation’ to recognise strong product innovation e.g. in packaging, ingredients, formulation, life cycle, usage, etc.
