Lest we forget: today back in 1948: Yafa falls to the zionist gangs. The famous Palestinian Historian Aref Al Aref said, “With the fall of Yafa, the Arabs had lost one of their oldest cities, one the most fertile, and one of the richest cities financially, culturally, and habitually; and if it only had its oranges and its port that beautifies the Mediterranean, it would have been enough honour” .

Today, back in 1975: Tel el-Zaatar bus massacre took place in which 27 innocent Palestinian civilians were massacred by Christian Phalangist Militias in Beirut. This is seen as the incident that signalled the start of the Lebanese Civil War which lasted 15 years.
Today, 9 April 1948: "Early in the morning of April 9, 1948, members of two Zionist paramilitary groups: Irgun, (headed by Israel's future prime minister, Menachem Begin) and Lehi (headed by another future prime minister, Yitzhaq Shamir) attacked the small village of Deir Yassin in Operation Nachson. More than 100 people, mostly women, children and infants, were killed. Some of the surviving children were left on the street of a Jerusalem Arab neighborhood. They became the core of an orphanage, which today is a K-12 school." Issam Nashashibi.

Today, back in 1968: Battle of al-Karameh. Israel vowed to destroy the Palestinian camp of Karameh in Jordan, a source of many military campaigns against it. 15,000 soldiers, 47 tanks were employed against 1000 PLO fighters and part of the Jordanian army. A humiliating defeat for Israel with 33 of its army died vs.156 PLO, 27 IDF tanks destroyed and 1 aircraft shot down. And that is from Palestinian factions that had basic ammunition.
