When the hair goes into a high messy bun before training, you know it's about to go down! πͺπ€ͺ

Lockdown workouts = no make-up + sweaty hair πͺ
I thought it would be difficult without the gym and keeping motivated during lockdown but I have actually grown to LOVE home workouts! I think it's a marmite kind of vibe really β... you either love it or you hate it! What are your thoughts?

If you want to reach your goals, you need to shrink the size of your but. π
New month = New goals! Can you actually believe that it's already July?! βοΈ Time is flying by and sometimes is good to take a step back and see if you are actually being productive with that time that you have. Are you progressing each day, even if that just means baby steps? Are you moving forwards instead of looking back? Are you doing enough? Maybe you don't feel ready, you just want to take a break on life right now. That's totally normal! Just know that whatever you're doing, you're dealing with life and you're doing great... which means you really can do anything you want! Make July the month where you focus YOU π€
What are your goals for this new month? πͺ

If I could use my social media to achieve anything, it would be to spread positivity, inspire others and support as many people as possible on their journeys π€π
What would you hope to achieve?
HOME HIIT WORKOUT πͺ
As promised, here is a short HIIT workout that you can try at home in just 15 minutes! Just be warned, the sweat is REAAAL when you do a HIIT workout guys!!! But it's so handy as you don't need much time and still get huge benefits from doing it! ππͺ
WHAT IS HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)?
It's a form of cardio training which leads to a greater EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) which means that after you have finished exercising, your body will continue to burn calories at a higher rate than usual! This means less work time but same results... AMAZING π
In this workout there are 8 exercises which you should perform for 20 seconds with a 5 second rest in between each exercise! After you complete set, rest for 1 minute and then repeat it all again! Do 3 rounds in total for a great 15 minute workout!
Sequence is as follows:
πͺ High knees
πͺ Mountain Climbers
πͺ Hop & Touch
πͺ Chest to Floor Burpee
πͺ Squat Jump & Pulse
πͺ Jump In & Out Plank
πͺ Lunge Kick Switches
πͺ Clap Jumping Jacks
Please feel free to try this workout at home! Warm-up and cool-down is not included so make sure you stretch and cover yourself for that! Let me know how it goes guys, I'd loveee to know if you sweated as much as I did π
HIIT TRAINING πͺ
As I mentioned in my story, I have missed some training sessions in the last days due to not feeling great. Today I wanted to get back into it and planned on training for around an hour. I started with a 10 minute HIIT session and felt completely EXHAUSTED so have left it at that! Sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves and we need to just listen to our body when it says enough is enough! It's totally normal to have days where you feel better or worse and we need to just embrace it and take each day as it comes!
Happy Sunday everyone! π

HAPPY SUNDAY βοΈ
Do you use Sundays as a rest day or do you keep going just like any other day? π€ I think rest days are such an important part of your training regime! It's so good to give your body and also your mind a little break and some time to reset so that you can come back stronger and with more motivation to reach your goals for the week ahead! πͺ
Enjoy your Sunday whether you are work hard or taking some well-deserved time for yourself! Self-care sundays with a hot bath and a face mask are my new favourite! π How will you be spending your Sunday?
Also wanted to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dads out there and also a very special thought for all those who maybe find this day a little more difficult, sending you lots of love β€

BREAKFAST TO FUEL YOUR DAY π₯
Strawberry protein pancakes are my go-to weekend treat as they are so yummy whilst at the same time super healthy and fuel my body with the nutrients that it needs to start my day in the best way! πͺ
Arbonne protein powder supports muscles and daily health with plant based protein from Peas, Rice and Cranberries. Each serving delivers essential Amino Acids and more than 20 vitamins and minerals! This limited time Strawberry flavour is super yummy too! ππ
ABS BLAST HOME WORKOUT π₯
I decided to start posting some home workouts that you guys can save and do whenever you want π€ I'm SUPERRR passionate about fitness and would love to inspire others to fit some short workouts in around your busy schedules β€ I know motivation can be difficult so these short videos can be added to your saved posts so you can try it right from home!
This is a short abdominal workout that I did today focusing on keeping the movements controlled and with good technique to ensure that I work on toning the muscles in the correct way without losing the work by going along with momentum. Repeatedly performing ab exercises with a poor technique can lead to neck and back pain so it's really important to make sure you are doing each exercise in the correct way! Ab workouts are my absolute FAVOURITE ππͺ I hope you enjoy and don't forget to let me know how it goes π
6 exercises - Work each exercise for 30 seconds with a 15 second rest in between each exercise πͺ (repeat the full set of 6 exercises 3 times in total with a 1 minute rest between each round):
πͺ 4x Knee cross & push up
πͺ Bicycle crunches
πͺ Toe touches
πͺ Raised knee crunches
πͺ Criss-cross scissor kicks
πͺ Leg extensions
