FADES:

a FADE is typcially a graduated Blend (usually from anything to SKIN or ZERO to a number 2). When your barber asks if you want a HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW FADE, this relates to the position on your temples and not the GRADE. A LOW fade, just below the temple will expose a lesser BALDING AREA then say a HIGH fade, above the temple. For ZERO FADES, anything below the line is referred to as the BALDING AREA and above the line is the FADING AREA. The hair should look naturally blended without any lines or steps, as illustrated in the pictures...

Gents:

Does your barber ask how you'd like your neck to look? Square, Round or Natural (also known as tapered)...If you have a Zero or Skin Fade, your neck line will practically be invisible so its unlikely your barber will ask you...
