Nikki Dean - Nail Tech Lessons
Teaching nails through fun lessons
If your client has weak, thin or damaged nails recommend her an ibx treatment. It is a product by the brand Famous Names and can be found worldwide by their distributors.
IBX works on the upper layers of the nail plate, not on top of it. It improves the integrity of the nail and acts as a protective shield. There are tons of before and after examples, I encourage you to have a look at the hashtag

Would you have refunded the client who booked you for a destination wedding and agreed to pay your flight tickets and accommodation but then cancelled her wedding?
Is the price quote fair? A bride wants you to travel internationally to do her nails, what would you say?
The blind leading the blind 🥺🤣 Honestly if I have to call somewhere I always prepare a speech and then I panic when the person on the other line doesn't follow the script in my head. 😭
Also this is a totally made up story by now. Brits know the chances of getting a GP appointment on the next day are 0. 😅
Did you know that the shorter you cut your nails, the shorter your nail bed becomes? But this is not the same as onycholysis.
If you leave them to grow or you enhance them with products, the nail plate will reattach to the nail bed and the hyponychium will grow to support the extra weight.
For some people the hyponychium is very prominent, for others it is not. Usually the index fingers are the ones with the biggest hyponychium as we use them the most.
Final part of how to deal with a smelly client 🤔
I strongly believe this is best to be handled by someone who is close to the person. If you have a friend who has a scent, tell them, don't let them get embarrassed in front of strangers.
Did you know that pregnancy can affect the longevity of your manicure? It doesn't happen to everyone, but sometimes our hormones can be to blame.

In this version of how to deal with a smelly client we will explore an option in which the client is very understanding. Lots of people in the comments of the previous videos seem to think that this is how it will go, but the truth is that this will be a rare case. If you want to keep the client and genuinely help them with their issue, you have to have a very strong rapport with them. You can't say that to a stranger and expect that they won't just find you rude.
If you want to know more about the different situations and when is it okay to step in and when not, head over to my full video.
How to deal with a smelly client Part 3 💖
Taking in everyone's recommendation to be honest about it is not always the best if we are talking about a business relationship.
In my full video I'm looking at your opinions (p.s the previous part got over 20M views across platforms). Reading through thousands of comments was very eye opening and I break down what to do in each situation and scripts to use.
Yes, I’m building a game-based course for nail technicians.
And no, it’s not going to be for everyone.
Because the truth is…
not everyone learns well from traditional nail courses.
Sitting through long presentations, memorising theory, and still feeling unsure when a real client sits in front of you?
That’s the problem.
A lot of nail techs don’t struggle because they’re not talented, they struggle because the way they’re taught doesn’t stick for them.
So instead of creating another “watch and forget” course… I’m building something different.
A learning experience that actually helps you:
- remember what you learn
- apply it with real clients
- feel confident in your decisions (even tricky ones 👀)
Right now I’m designing the platform and testing different directions and I want your opinion.
If you’re a nail technician (wanna be, beginner or experienced), your input actually matters here.
Pick your favourite design and I can't wait to see which one is the winner. 🥳
