Healing dance of the San tribe. 🌙
I have been reading today about TRE & therapeutic tremors in relation to old traditions in tribes & shamanism.
Trembling/shaking has been part of one of the oldest cultures and their spiritual practices. It was believed shaking can help the ‘evil spirit’ leave the body & heal from illness. The San tribe example shows us the healing powers of simple gathering, dance & shaking together. This practice would be done several times a week - in fact this is what we recommend with TRE, practicing weekly to ‘shake it off’.
Although therapeutic neurogenic tremors aren’t consciously done, shaking has a long history in the world & suggests great and positive contribution to our well-being. 💫🤍V.

The back muscles are active in sympathetic activation. The hormones are pumped in the tissues causing them to contract. Prolonged stress -> chronic tension. Is not fun being in stress zone at all times.🥴👀

Unexpressing,supressing.🪞
The body wants to be supported & wants to serve us well. If the body needs to release by crying, laughing, yawning, sleeping, we should support it. We have to complete our reaction of our nervous system, it tried to protect us, it reacted & needed to complete it’s action, it’s physiology. If we can’t for show or process emotion for various reasons, it will never go away. The cycle can’t be complete. Emotions will creep out later in a different form and often stronger form over period of time such as mental health problem, new developed way of coping with future situations, new behaviour pattern, physical symptoms and chronic pains, depression and so on.💭
Being witnessed and opening the steam-cooker bit by bit is crucial to be able to process what our body has been holding onto. 🎈The best way - cognitive and physical. It’s not enough to just think I will be fine & be positive which some new age stuff would suggest. It’s our very old physiology. Cherish it! Normalise it! It’s WHO WE ARE.🗝

Intimate connection. ♾
I recently been thinking about the level of intimacy between me & my clients which then creates the space of the depth of healing & progress on their journey.
It is entirely up to us how we want to go about healing through our body , especially from trauma & stucked emotions. The willingness of going into ´uncomfortable’ spaces, true honesty, the unmasking & permitting ourselves to cry, let go, move, smile...〰️
The level of openess will be conscious decision that one will permit to happen & we can only go deeper when we open our heart & letting the body express what it needs to to move forward.🌾

Mammals need touch. Some monkeys spend 17% of their day doing grooming when in fact 1% would be sufficient.
Why?
🐒It increases their relaxation after stress and aggression in the group
🐒It helps them connect & create relationships
🐒 And some monkeys are more likely to give food to the monkey they groomed before
Humans are the same.
Some scientists call the skin ‘social organ’ . New born babies & children need it, adults need it & elderly need it to stay healthy. (It plays a key role in children’s development) . I am here to teach adults to use touch for their own & their family’s benefit so we can have this primitive and important instinct rooted for the generations ahead & use it! 👐🏼
