Congratulating myself on the school run this morning for not only prepping the slow cooker before leaving the house but for generally having things so together that even my nails match my knitwear… 💅🏻

Aaaannd having to accept this evening after realising I’d forgotten to actually switch the slow cooker on that 90% of my possessions are pink and I’m actually still just as disorganised as ever! 🤣🙈🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh well, there’s always tomorrow! 🤣💗

Well if these shiny foil nails don’t make a great start to the week then I don’t know what does!! 🤩

Just look at how fab they look in different lights (especially the one taken whilst out walking her dog!) and they honestly look even better in person! 😍✨

Yes, I’m fully aware that it isn’t Christmas any more! 😂

But after removing a set of snowflakes this evening it struck me that I’ve got a phone full of Christmas nail art that I haven’t shared with you yet! 🤦🏻‍♀️

So, before I miss the boat entirely, I thought I’d quickly just share some of my favourites from the festive season! 💅🏻🎅🏻❄️

💭🤔 WHAT ARE YOUR NAILS MADE FROM? 🤔💭

💅🏻 Your nails are made of dead, hardened keratin cells.

💅🏻 Just below the nails, behind the skin, your nail matrix constantly produces new living cells which go on to push forwards, flatten and harden. This is the part that we see as our nails!

I regularly have clients choose their polish to match an outfit….but having someone announce that they have chosen a colour so they can coordinate with their kitchen appliances is a first! 😂

I’m honestly not sure if I’m most impressed by her commitment to her colour scheme, by the fact that she found these items in the first place or by the fact that she managed to get her boyfriend to agree, but whatever the answer is, I’m totally on board! 😂💗

The new rules around face coverings come into play this morning! 😷

I will continue to wear full PPE during appointments as usual, but I need to insist once again that clients wear a mask during their treatments too.

If you forget to bring a mask to your appointment don’t panic - I will be able to provide you with one for a small charge.

Some fun facts about nail growth….

💅🏻 The average fingernail growth is approx 3-4mm per month.
💅🏻 The longer the finger, the faster the nail growth.
