Like most people I'm sure, it's been hard to work in this heat! It's nice waxing thread for sewing though, as the beeswax blocks are nice and soft. Little wins.

These leather mini journal necklaces have blank pages inside, so you can actually use them! If you have small enough writing. Mine is huge, one letter per page 😆

A while ago, I got a stash of leather offcuts from - a bundle sustainably sourced from leftover stock from the Northampton shoe industry; delightfully scuffed edges, lightly marked, full of character. Perfect for my leather-wrap journals.

First up, crafters and stallholders!
We are delighted that Jenni, from The Craft Fantastic, will be with us showcasing her wares. Rescued leather, salvaged from the waste stream by businesses and craftspeople to create new sustainable products, diverts thousands of tons of scrap offcuts, deadstock, and trimmings from going into landfill. Jenni is one such artisan, who repurposes leather to create bespoke items specifically tailored for "bookish" interests, such as hand-bound journals, bookmarks, and book necklaces. Whilst sustainability is a core ethos of her brand, first and foremost she is about showcasing the intrinsic beauty of traditional handmade craftsmanship, focusing on the tangible, unique value of items produced one by one, rather than in mass production.
Please come along and see the wonderful selection of products she has for sale.
