Now that maternity leave is over, me and Tom inks are joining up and opening a new studio together. We are open and licensed now for tattoos. I will be adding body piercing and laser tattoo removal in the near future along with my uaual treatments. We will now be using a joint business page so go over to Tom's page and give him a follow. Positive aspiration had by Mia today🩸

What does this mean?
Aspiration is a safety precaution that every aesthetics practitioner should be take when injecting filler. This is where we pull back the plunger after inserting the needle before injecting the filler. It helps us to prevent complications such as a vascular occlusion (a vascular occlusion can occur when filler is injected to a blood vessel).

When blood can be seen in the needle hub, there is no need to panic - in fact, it's a sigh of relief - as a vascular occlusion is about to be prevented!

Safety is our main priority when performing injectable treatments. If Mia had not of aspirated on this occasion, a vascular occlusion could have been caused. This is where the vessel is blocked by the filler, which is crucial and would need intervention.
