What are the differences between rubber base, builder gel and hard gel?

Regular base coat and rubber base are for clients who typically have stronger nails that don't require or want much added strength. Both are made to be flexible and move with the natural nail plate but the rubber base provides some added strength.

However, if clients are wanting strength they may opt for builder gel or hard gel (if they have a particularly active lifestyle). The builder gel was much harder to bend but snapped (once under enough pressure), compared to the rubber base and base coat which doesn't have much of a dent from pinching.

It should also be taken into consideration that builder gel and hard gel can be applied much thicker than base coat or rubber base which helps with strength.
