I am Sarah-Jane, I am a certified hypnobirthing teacher, and founder of Calm Essence Hypnobirthing, in Oxfordshire.

My curiosity for teaching Hypnobirthing comes from my own empowering birth experiences of five children, and from my journey to becoming the newly qualified midwife that I now am; having been an integral part of many families journey through pregnancy, birth and into the postnatal period
I am passionate about utilising the opportunity to holistically support families, and empower people with evidence-based information that is imperative to providing individualised care.
A common factor that resonates with many birthing people, regardless of how many babies they have bought into this world, is fear, and maintaining control over their own birth; this also being a contributing factor to the statistics of birth trauma. I believe hypnobirthing plays an essential role in reducing those statistics.
There is so much to gain from Hypnobirthing that really supports birthing people to achieve the best birth experience for them in all circumstances, with so many enriching benefits and tools to share together as a growing family.
Life is so busy, we all deserve this pocket of peace to pause, reset, and enjoy this beautiful time in our lives we will never get back.
