Meet the team ✨ And now me… What. A. Ride?! 😆
Hi, I’m Hannah – owner, Head Makeup Artist & Educator here at KAMU.
What started as a passion project during maternity leave has grown into a journey I could never have imagined. Over the years, that journey has included multiple studios, training academies and salons, incredible opportunities, amazing people, and plenty of lessons along the way.
Like so many businesses, Covid changed everything. It gave me the chance to stop, reflect and ask myself what success really looked like. Instead of chasing growth for the sake of growth, I chose to strip everything back and rebuild with purpose over profit.
That decision became KAMU.
People often ask how KAMU started, but the truth is it was never just about makeup.
From the very beginning, my passion has been helping people feel confident, capable and proud of who they are. Whether that’s through a treatment in the salon, learning a new skill, gaining a qualification, or simply having someone believe in them when they don’t yet believe in themselves.
Over the years, that passion has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. KAMU has become a collective of incredibly talented professionals who all share the same values: collaboration over competition, kindness, encouragement and creating opportunities for others to thrive.
Outside of work, my greatest achievement will always be my two boys. Everything I do is driven by the hope that they grow up knowing it’s okay to be unapologetically themselves, to lead with kindness and compassion, to work hard, follow their dreams and always choose love. None of this would have been possible without my husband, he’s been there through every exciting new chapter and seen the worst of the hardest times too.
I’m endlessly grateful to my family, friends, clients, learners, past and present team members and every industry partner who has believed in me and in the KAMU vision. Some of you have been here since those very first maternity leave appointments, others have joined somewhere along the journey, and many are only just discovering us now. Every single one of you has helped shape KAMU into what it is today.
To those who have supported me through every chapter—thank you. Your encouragement, loyalty and belief have carried me through more than you’ll ever know. And to everyone joining the KAMU community now… welcome. We can’t wait for you to be part of what comes next.
We’re only just getting started, and I’m genuinely so excited for the future.

Introducing, Amy 🥰
For those of you who have been a KAMU Bride or trained with us, you’ll know Amy is our queen of admin and organisation - she really is the glue that keeps everything together and running smoothly behind the scenes 🙌🏽
Starting as a close friend and a KAMU bride herself, she was both invested in the brand and knows exactly what’s needed to make sure every Bride feels at ease and confident, right from enquiring through to their big day ⛪️
Dedicating her last few years as an incredible Mum of 4, she now has the time to step out from behind the scenes at KAMU and start offering treatments 💅 I know you’ll all support her and show her some love….
Never one to blow her own trumpet and cringing at the thought of having to write this herself (she will kill me for the soppy stuff 😆) … I’m doing it for her, as I’m not only so grateful for how she has supported me both personally and professionally but I know how passionate she is about making others feel good too!

Hi, I’m Sammi! 👋
I’m so excited to officially introduce myself as the newest Junior Makeup Artist here at KAMU 💄
I’ve recently qualified as a professional makeup artist and I’m now building my portfolio while doing what I love most… helping people feel confident, beautiful and like the very best version of themselves.
Makeup has always been a huge passion of mine. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone look in the mirror and smile because they feel amazing 🤩
Outside of makeup, I’m a dedicated mum and carer, and this journey means so much to me. My dream is to turn my passion into my full-time career, and every client who chooses to book with me helps me get one step closer to making that dream a reality.
With summer events just around the corner, if you’ve got a wedding, prom, party, races, birthday celebration or special occasion coming up, I’d absolutely love to help you get ready! 🥰
