Lou Chambers brain tumour journey

My final radiotherapy and chemo was yesterday so I wanted to document it on here so it isn't just on my personal profile... This is my brain tumour journey so I wanted to pop it in here too where I got to ring the bell to say I've completed my treatment... I will start chemo again in July but for now I have have a break.... Thanks everyone for your support and love,,, you've all been amazing.. Including Courtney who has taken my bloods at hospital and looked after me.. She's a credit to the nhs...

I don't know about you but cancer and brain tumours can just c**k off.... Especially mine...

2wks and a day of radiotherapy done....

I've just started to lose some hair where I have radiotherapy but not huge amounts.. I'm not even bothered 🤔🤣

I've also had my Nails done as a treat and sorting out raffles for my fundraising dance events taking place in June which I'm looking forward to... If anyone has any unwanted gifts or alcohol they would be most welcome donations.. The 1st is on 11th June and another 1 on 25th June... I can arrange to collect anything from you or can drop off raffle tickets xx

So I have now completed 2 full weeks of radiotherapy and I'm just starting to get a bit of skin irritation but nothing severe to be fair.. No hair loss etc no sickness...I'm really lucky xx

I'm going to update my journey on this page so my personal fb doesn't get overwhelmed with it all although I will use that too but this can be kept more medical and matter of. Fact.. Information can be filtered back to family and friends rather than me or my closest repeating themselves countless times although I know they don't mind..
As I say I have started treatment and feeling good... Please pop in for a visit anytime...

I know that most of you know that I have been diagnosed with a inoperable terminal sbrain tumour called Glioblastoma grade 4 and I want to update everyone as things happen and as of 22nd May 2023 I will have completed a full week of Radiotherapy and chemo # # #
So far so good with no side effects at all from either...
I've been inundated with the most gorgeous sincere well wishes and love felt..

I've been taken to treatment by different people, friends and family members so feeling very grateful to everyone around me making up the best team...
