For years I’ve trusted HIFU because deeper support matters but the reality is, ageing doesn’t happen in one layer.

Your skin can become thinner, duller and lose its glow, while the deeper structures that support it are changing too. These concerns can and often do exist at the same time, which is why they deserve different approaches.

Meet the Focus Dual…

It gives me the option to combine HIFU with radio frequency microneedling, allowing me to treat multiple layers of ageing in the same treatment.

One thing I say all the time is that the best treatment is the one that’s right for you.

HIFU remains one of my favourite treatments, which is exactly why I invested in a more advanced HIFU platform. It allows me to continue delivering the high standard of HIFU treatments my clients know me for, while also giving me the option to combine HIFU with radio frequency microneedling for clients who’ll benefit from improving both the quality of their skin and the support beneath it.

So what’s the difference?

HIFU uses focused ultrasound to deliver energy at precise depths, including the superficial dermis, deep dermis and SMAS layer. This stimulates collagen while helping to improve firmness, support, lifting and tightening.

Radio frequency microneedling also works at adjustable depths, delivering radio frequency energy exactly where it’s needed. It stimulates collagen too, helping to improve skin firmness and laxity while also improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scarring and overall skin quality.

That doesn’t mean everyone needs both.

Some clients will be best suited to HIFU alone. Others will benefit from combining the two. That’s why every treatment starts with a consultation. If Focus Dual is the right option for you, I’ll tell you. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you that too.

If you’ve got any questions about Focus Dual or you’re wondering whether it could be right for you, send me a message. I’m always happy to talk you through your options.

Maternity leave dump 🤍

I’m back in clinic tomorrow after what feels like the fastest 8 weeks ever.

I haven’t enjoyed every minute of it I won’t lie. There have been tears, sick, sleep deprivation and more milk than I ever thought possible. But we’re all alive and that’s what’s important 🫠😂

Thank you for all the lovely messages whilst I’ve been away. I’m very much looking forward to a little bit of normality.

If you have an appointment with me soon, bring tequila! Thanks x

One treatment. A big reduction in visible thread veins.

During one of the most stressful periods of her life, she started to notice the small capillaries gradually increasing, spreading across her cheeks and tracking down towards the jawline.

Grief doesn’t just sit in your head. It affects your nervous system, your inflammation levels, even how reactive your skin becomes. When flushing happens repeatedly, fragile capillaries can eventually stop bouncing back.

Before coming to me, she’d tried several treatments elsewhere, including a full course of electrolysis, with very little change. While that approach can be effective for smaller, isolated vessels, the extent of her presentation needed further consideration and a different treatment approach.

She was advised to continue with more sessions and see how things progressed, something didn’t sit comfortably with her and it wouldn’t sit comfortably with me either.

No treatment is guaranteed. Skin is biological and can respond differently person to person. But if we follow the correct protocol and there’s no measurable improvement, I won’t continue simply in the hope that something might change.

After one properly targeted vascular session, we’ve significantly reduced the density of these vessels without damaging the surrounding skin. She has two treatments remaining, and it’s been lovely to see her confidence already start to shift.

If you’re noticing increasing redness, flushing or broken capillaries, book in for a proper consultation.

IPL vascular treatments always require a thorough assessment and a test patch before we proceed. Safety and suitability come first.
