Last Monday was the first National nail tech price increase day 🙋🏼‍♀️ Created by 💅🏻 Some of you may have already seen this on BBC NEWS or SKY NEWS & social media.

I’m proud to be a part of this as thousands of other nail techs/beauty therapists come together to raise their prices, charge their worth & normalise charging correctly for treatments.

Salons often undercharge for nail treatments but charge effectively for everything else & no one really knows why.

We make the prices ourselves but we keep this low as we don’t want to be way higher than the average nail tech!
But in reality there is so much that goes into a nail service. Rent, bills, stock, training costs, laundry, tax, NI, salon insurance, replacing tools & equipment etc etc.
These costs go into the other services too but they are generally priced correctly.

I just wanted to make this post to explain a little why these changes are needed. I do always like to give notice to my regular clients so my increase for them won’t start until Wednesday 1st May 🩷 I will post my new prices within the next week or so on Facebook.

I hope everyone can understand why price increases are needed. I am well aware the cost of living has gone up for everyone & not just us, but to be a sustainable business, a price increase every now & again is necessary 💚
