⭐️ Botox (botulinum toxin) is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures globally, yet it is still surrounded by a lot of misinformation ⭐️

1. Myth: It completely "freezes" your face and stops all expressions
The Reality - A frozen, expressionless look is usually the result of over-injection by an inexperienced provider. When administered correctly by a licensed professional, Botox targets very specific muscles to soften wrinkles while still allowing you to smile, frown, and look perfectly natural. The goal is a refreshed look, not a paralysed one 🤭

2. Myth: Botox and dermal fillers are the exact same thing
The Reality: They function entirely differently. Botox relaxes muscles to smooth out dynamic wrinkles (lines caused by movement, like frowning or squinting). Fillers, on the other hand, use substances like hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin, restoring lost volume to static wrinkles (lines present when the face is at rest) or contouring areas like the lips and cheeks.

3. Myth: If you stop getting Botox, your wrinkles will get much worse
The Reality: Your face will simply gradually return to its original baseline. Botox temporarily blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles, usually lasting 3 to 4 months. If you choose to stop treatments, the muscle simply resumes normal activity, and your original wrinkles will slowly reappear at the same rate they would have naturally.

4. Myth: Botox is only used for cosmetic purposes
The Reality: Botox actually started as a medical treatment before it became an aesthetic phenomenon. It is FDA-approved to treat a wide array of chronic medical conditions by relaxing overactive muscles or blocking nerve pathways.
Medical Uses for Botox Include:
Chronic Migraines: Reducing the frequency of severe headaches.

There is virtually no downtime; most people can return to work or their normal daily routines immediately afterward, making it a classic "lunchtime procedure."

It was throwing it down this morning and me and Red 🐕 got soaked! Now I’m in my little clinic working and I’ve had to put the air on it’s that warm 🥵
