This morning I met my beautiful friend Kathryn Oliphant | UK Lifestyle & Marketing for coffee, in the middle of the week.

As we sat talking, I noticed a little voice whisper, “This feels like such a treat.”

And then another thought followed…

Why?

When did slowing down become something we believe we have to deserve?

Some of the deepest nourishment doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from being fully present. From heartfelt conversations. From laughter. From sipping a warm drink without watching the clock. From allowing ourselves to simply be.

Our souls don’t measure our worth by our productivity. Nature doesn’t rush. The seasons don’t apologise for resting. Yet so many of us carry the belief that every moment must be earned.

Maybe the invitation today is to soften.

To trust that moments of joy, connection and stillness aren’t distractions from life, they’re the medicine that helps us truly live it.

May we stop waiting for permission to receive the simple gifts that are already here. 🤍. 💛

A little bowl of goodness to start the day. 🍓🥝✨

I’ve been thinking a lot about this page recently…

For the last few years it’s mainly been a place for me to share my sound baths and energy healing sessions (don’t worry, that’s not changing 💚), but I feel ready to share more of my own wellbeing journey too.

The truth is, I’m a 50 year old woman with a busy corporate job, and like so many people, I’ve experienced what it feels like to be on the edge of burnout. It’s taught me that we can’t pour from an empty cup.

For me, holistic living isn’t about being perfect or escaping real life. It’s about finding simple ways to support my mind, body and soul alongside a demanding career.

Sometimes that’s a nourishing breakfast like this. Other days it’s a walk in nature, a yoga class, a sound bath, a few quiet moments, or simply taking time to breathe.

These small, consistent choices have made such a difference to how I feel, and I want to start sharing more of them here.

My hope is to show that you don’t have to wait until you’re burnt out to put yourself first. You can build little moments of wellbeing into everyday life, even when life is busy.
One of my favourite little rituals is grabbing breakfast from Mockingbird Raw Press | Smoothies, Juices & Shots before work. It’s a reminder that looking after yourself doesn’t have to be complicated, sometimes it starts with simply choosing to nourish your body.
