The benefits of a heatwave- your daughter decides to join you for a dip

I've made mo secret of the fact I have found my children moving out hard. But I'm realising there is something really special about this season of life.

My daughter (who's 22) joined me for a river dip and somewhere between the cold water and the chat, I realised our relationship is changing in the loveliest way.

She's building a life of her own, and I'm no longer needed in the same ways I once was. Instead, we're getting to know each other in whole new way and I absolutely love that.

At the same time, I'm discovering a new version of myself too. After so many years of being "Mum" first, there's space to explore who I'm becoming in this next chapter.

It feels less like an ending and more like the start of something beautifully different.

Stopped off here on our way up to North Wales. We're planning on exploring the Llyn Peninsula on this trip as we've always missed it out on previous visits up North
But how blooming stunning is this spot? I could sit here for hours just getting lost looking at that water

Bluepool Bay is close to my heart. I spent many weekends here as a teenager and it's still just as special all these years later.

No shops. No cafés. Just a beautiful crystal blue pool, soft golden sand and crisp white waves, but you'll need to check the tide times or you'll get cut off – unless you fancy a rock climb.

Being in my 50s now, coming here is always like stepping back in time. So many memories

It's also the reason I had to create a candle inspired by this incredible little corner of the Welsh coast. Our Rock Salt & Driftwood fragrance captures everything I love about this place—the fresh sea air, sun-warmed rocks, and that feeling of complete calm and seclusion.
