Happy Christmas! I had a great day with family today and winding down the evening back home on my own. This photo isn’t carefully visually crafted but I wanted to post it as contains a lot of happiness for me right now - and it’s the little inches in life that make the difference. Pooch is bushed after a great day wrestling with his German Shepard cousin and is sleeping under our tree. I am eating pistachios which I forgot I love to eat (my mum bought a whole tin for me as she remembered from years ago that I used to consume them by the handful). I am drinking a small whisky which a friend bought me (first and only drink of the day) and lastly rewatching ‘Nobody’ what I would describe is a fantastic film. All small little things but when added together really make a difference.

Ever have one of those days where everything is going well then you do something stupid that costs you money?
I did just that today. In need of a quick lunch and pop to Marks & Spencer's. I want to pick up some sort of tasty sandwich into my delight found that the turkey feasts are back in.
I chucked in a cheeky chocolate bar because it's coming towards the weekend and I felt like treating myself a little bit earlier and savouring it over a coffee ( for my mental wellbeing ;).
I paid for my items and as I was walking out the door I snagged my arm on a sharp bit of the display area which left my super lovely super warm padded jacket arm torn up (and me emotionally).
Not going to lie - I was a bit of a rage (pronounced - radge) since. The jacket was something I treated myself to and was expensive to me and it's survived life, brambles and most importantly my velociraptor/ airedale cross puppy.
I ate the chocolate bar without thinking about it and drunk my coffee absent-minded. Defeating the purpose of the treat.
I took a moment to reflect and tried to put things in perspective. The rips aren't that bad - and looking at the jacket supplier they offer a repair service.
I am however still full of underlining anger (which I need to work on) and one of the little things I am going to do now is pop to the gym and move some heavy stuff from one area to another - and have a hot bath tonight.
When did you last get mad at yourself and what did you do to snap out of it?

If the gym is too overwhelming, why not try a home workout, a walk or a run? Moving your body should make you feel good so find a form of exercise that you’re actually excited to do! 📸

Can croissants make you happy? Little Valley Bakery’s can.

Werewolf murder mystery? Now do I have your attention? If I do then support this film and rent it on whatever platform you use. Sam Richardson is fast becoming one of my favourite comedy actors - but just mentioning him would be doing the whole cast a disservice as I loved them all. Based on the video game/ based on a card game. Perfect late night watching or for a lazy Sunday afternoon. (We watched on )

Cheeky afternoon nap 😴. Making up for lost sleep from a night out. I rarely nap but when I do I feel a million times better. Go on have a siesta …
No filter can make up for the lack of tan on my legs. I have been out of the gym for about 10 days with a gammy shoulder. First day back working legs and all feels better with the world. Exercise is a pillar for my mental wellbeing.

It’s been a turbulent couple of weeks I had a brief visit to a&e and Sherlock had some minor surgery. The couples with app development work had wiped me out. I needed a break outside of the house with the pooch and popped down to and treated myself to an coffee & donut 🍩 for some down time. So happy that venues like this are popping up in Swansea they have done an amazing job.
