Is he a ? Asked the kid who just walked past Albie as he shadow bathes on the tow path...

To be fair I think the young lad meant but it still amused me ๐Ÿ˜

Are there any you've got incorrect in your past? (I have at many a time)

Or do you have a dog who people often get wrong?

The amount of trust this dog has in me always humbles me...

Dobby was rattled when I got to him today, pain in his left shoulder and both triceps and trigger points all over...

I've worked with him for a few years now so we have an understanding as well as a deep trust as I work on him with both gentle and firm pressure to check which muscles feel uncomfortable but also what areas feel untoward.

But his trust in my treatments never fails to humble me, especially when he feels most vulnerable x

Thankfully he seems a lot better this evening but I will continue to touch base with his mum in the coming days and update his vet accordingly ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ•

Have you noticed something "off" about the way your dog is moving?

But your vet can't find anything wrong? Then it might be muscular!

That's why I carry out on your dog to see if there is anything untoward in your dog's muscles that is causing them discomfort during or after walks.

can help your dog's wellbeing at any stage in life so why not book them in for a check with me?

I'm available today (Wednesday 15th july) for walkins, away petsitting on 22nd July and back at Dog's Diner on 29th July.

Or if you are on the wirral, I can come to your home if you can't do Wednesdays ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ•

Today, Defra published its White Paper, "Our Vision for a Thriving Veterinary Sector", outlining plans to reform the Veterinary Surgeons Act and the future regulation of the veterinary sector.

This is a landmark moment for Allied Veterinary Professionals.

After more than a decade of advocacy, we're pleased to see the Government recognise AVPs as an essential part of the veterinary workforce, with future legislation expected to support additional professions within the regulatory framework.

The proposals also signal a move towards autonomous professional practice, enabling regulated AVPs to work within their own defined scope of practice, supported by professional regulation and accountability.

While there's still work ahead, the direction is clear: AVPs have moved from the margins of veterinary legislation into the Government's vision for the future veterinary workforce.

Thank you to everyone who has supported AHPR on this journey.

๐Ÿ“ข What this could mean for AVPs ๐Ÿ“ข

โœ… Official recognition of AVPs as part of the future veterinary workforce.

โœ…Recognition of the veterinary team model, not a vet-only model of care.

โœ…Autonomous practice within a defined professional scope, rather than reliance on delegated authority alone.

โœ…Clearer scopes of practice, giving greater certainty to professionals, employers, vets and animal owners.

โœ…Professional licensing and accountability, bringing AVPs closer to parity of professional recognition within the regulatory system.

โœ…A pathway towards statutory regulation through the new legislative framework proposed by the Government.

โœ…Greater public confidence and understanding of the role of regulated AVPs in delivering animal health and welfare.

Bottom line: This White Paper does not deliver statutory regulation today, but it creates the strongest foundation yet for the future recognition, regulation and autonomous practice of Allied Veterinary Professionals.

Why meditation with your Dog?

Many reasons... I explain the sciencey bits in the video but I've heard so many people say their dog doesn't let them alone when they meditate... so why not involve them?

Especially if you've not had with them in a while!

Plus I get to see your gorgeous dogs too ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ•

Comment below and I'll send you a link when the next session is going to be... Look forward to seeing you there!

This is how I remember the difference between Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous systems...

The pretends to give you sympathy whilst keeping you stuck in survival mode i.e. fight, flight or freeze...

Whereas the is the paramedic that ACTUALLY gives you sympathy and helping the body feel safe i.e. rest, relax and digest.

Both dogs and humans work the same way... and both respond to meditative breathing techniques as well as my massage therapies and energy work...

Comment below if you'd like a link to my next "Meditation withyour Dog" session on zoom so you can take away your and and build up your rest and relax Nervous response together.
