Responsibilities

Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician Duties:
Hair Consultation
Perfect Hair Care & Styling
Relaxing
Washing & Treatments
Cutting (including perm cuts)
Natural Hair styling
Colouring

Requirements
To be called for an interview, you will be asked to send pictures of your best nail art and acrylic work as well as your beauty school certificate. References will be taken from your previous work place.

Qualification Required & Experience
1-3 years work experience
Proven work experience in listed duties as a Hair stylist/Hairdresser
Good knowledge of Hair and beauty treatments and products
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Ability to handle customers’ requests and complaints with grace
You must be well presented and speak fluent English
Must be familiar with contraindications
Possess the necessary qualifications NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or the equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience (hair)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours:

6 day’s work per week (2 Sunday’s permitted to be off per month)

Some public holidays will be open at owner’s discretion

Working Hours

Monday – closed
Tuesday – Thursday: 8.30am –7.30pm

Friday: 8.30am – 7.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am – 8.30pm
Sunday: 1.30pm – 7.30pm

Remuneration:

Your net monthly salary will be depending on experience this will include our contributions to your Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

Your first 2 weeks will not be paid but a discretionary TNT will be added to your first month’s salary.

35% of your first month salary will be withheld as a form of security. 15% will be repaid at the end of 12 months and the remaining 20% if and when you hand in your notice (Notice period is 1 months).

Probation

Your probation will last for 4 months and you will be assessed on, performance (delivering high quality service in allocated time). After probation you will be entitled to benefits.

Benefits (after probation):

3 days paid sick leave – If a doctor’s note is supplied, Liona nails will pay 3 days sick leave
50 – 300 GHS in monthly bonuses
3 days paid compassionate leave per year in the event of the death or severe sickness of parents, siblings, spouse or children.
Medical and Background Screening

You must carry out a criminal and medical check and bring report within your first working month. Costs of carrying out this will be reimbursed. Bonuses and benefits will only be provided once these have been provided.

Home screening

Management of The YB Studio will kindly request to come to your home to know where you live.

Documentation requirements

Liona nails must have a copy of your training certificate and your government issued ID on file prior to commencing employment.

Shellac or Gel Polish applications
Nail Extensions Acrylic and Gel
Nail art (chrome, ombre etc)
