We spent today at the Dambai Lapaz basic school to further push our awareness.

The beauty of the crown is in the service to the people. Our 1st runner up who happens to be a physician assistant today spent some quality time with the Dambai Girls Model Basic School where she had a heart to heart conversation with the girls on the negative effects of contraceptives and the importance of abstainance. As part of her umbrella project ( Shadows into light), Benedicta hopes to spread her awareness across the length and breadth of the Oti Region.

This morning our 1st runner up spent some time with some 200 students of the Dambai lakeside JHS to educate them on the dangers of Teenage pregnancy and other related health issues. This falls under her big umbrella project themed “ Shadows to Light” which focuses on sexual health awareness and education for the youth and throws more light on Postpartum depression.

For the Top Model challenge, our six finalists had to work around sustainable fashion. We saw outfits made from plastic table covers, to old denim jeans, to curtains. They all had only one goal, to rock that which they could have disposed.
